Verandahs Apartments Port Douglas

Verandahs is a great place to stay. Fantastic location, small block (20 apartments), really nice apartments that are very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Sue and the team looked after us really well, thank you!

Great accommodation. It was exactly what we wanted and the balcony was exquisite. Big apartment with separate bedroom and bathroom. Large kitchen with full amenities and an outside BBQ. Easy walk into the main street and nice and quiet. We celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary and it was awesome. Highly recommend Verandahs Apartments. The owners were awesome and made us feel so welcome. We spent just under a week. Will come back again.

We loved this place. From the moment you open the door of your apartment, you feel like you're on holidays. We had a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with pool views. The apartment was spacious and really tastefully decorated and most of all very comfortable.Verandahs is a minutes walk from all of the great restaurants and a nice two minute walk to the beach.By far the best thing Verandahs has to offer is the genuinely warm hospitality you receive from Michelle and Sue. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were more than happy to share their knowledge of the local area. You almost thought you were staying with friends.We left Port Douglas to stay in a five start hotel in cairns and the whole time we were there, we were wishing we were back at Verandahs. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

Our stay at the Verandahs was definitely 5 stars! The apartment was spacious and clean. We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and the location was perfect to access the beach and the town. Sue was so awesome, helping us with restaurant and site seeing recommendations and reservations. We will definitely be back!!

The compassion, communication and customer service provided by Sue and her staff at Verandahs was exceptional and genuine. Sadly due to family illness we had to cancel our holiday to Port Douglas. We had just missed the cut off date for a refund. Sue went above and beyond to ensure we could get a refund and it took many phone calls and time to sort out. Nothing was too much trouble for Sue and we are absolutely planning to stay at Verandahs when we can. Thank you for your care and understanding.

I’ve had the pleasure of travelling a lot and staying in a diverse range of places from small huts to large 5-star resorts and I have to say this place was one of the best!!!!!! It was spacious, clean and in the best location, 2 minute walk from the beach and 2 minute walk from the shopping/restaurant district. But what really makes this place special is Sue the manager!!!!! She takes care of all of your needs and makes recommendations and reservations as if you are a family member visiting and staying at her home. If you are visiting Port Douglas this place is a must!!!! The photo I posted depicts how we felt about leaving.

We’ve had an amazing stay with Sue and her team at Verandahs. We arrived late, and disoriented- Sue stayed on the phone with me until we got into our apartment and we’re settled.We’re a family of 4 - with 2 small children and apartments we’re perfect for us. Sue organised a cot, kids toys (inc for the pool) and umbrellas (…we weren’t that lucky with the weather unfortunately). We’ll defiantly be back and are looking forward to spending some sunny days at the Verandahs.

Disappointing stay at this accommodation. The apartment was noisy and there was no servicing and very minimal supplies for our family’s week long stay.We booked via a third party site however on arrival the reception took our payment independently and chose to cancel the online booking (for reasons we can only guess at!) Despite our request for this to be reinstated it did not happen.Such a shame- not at all the experience we’d expected from the reviews.On the plus side the location was great!

Perfect location and beautiful apartment! Sue, was very friendly and helpful-great service! Loved ending our days in the beautiful pool. Would highly recommend this apartment to anyone!
