Service is terrible and food is slow to arrive. Very beautiful woodwork objects in the gift shop.If you are stopping for lunch, remember to be an old couple ordering Devonshire tea or a Chinese tour group of about 20 people, otherwise you won't even get cutlery on your table.

Such an amazing property, but no wonder it is for sale with the current poor customer service. Had lunch (a wrap) which we stared at when put in front of us due to the fact it was literally a wrap with a single slice of smoked salmon and a few red onion rings. The older gentleman who seemed to be the owner struggles with general social skills and couldn’t answer any questions from patrons about the menu etc. and just looked very confused and annoyed.

Must have the Devonshire Tea. Noticed the large menu, pity we arrived around morning tea time. The staff were lovely and welcoming telling us the history of the property.

I would have given 5 stars for location and Devonshire tea (including GF scone) but the coffee was made with UHT milk and I’m afraid tasted awful.

Great little gem of a stop - gift shop and Cafe - exceptional service and quality entertainment from the little bird at the window

Despite the cafe being shut when I arrived, the adjacent gallery in itself is worth visiting. A wide range of unique art pieces and a notable selection of pin badges make it definetly a good place to check out if you're in the Hamilton area.

great spaghetti Bolognese!!The owner makes the sauce himself, aldente fettuccine, and they use real parmesan shavings on top.Worth driving for!The scones are the best I've had anywhere.
