Alphacool is the warranty repairer for our brand new air cons in our new build, one phone call to Jo and she said that they were really busy and there would be at least a 3 weeks wait, a week later Jordan called, there was cancellation and could they come out. The techs that were sent out were so pleasant, and polite, I had to rush back to work, I could confidently leave them at the house, we’re fine with our dogs, locked up and had the parts a weeks later and repaired the unit. Can’t speak highly enough of Amos, Jo and Jordan - thank you for making it so easy

I find Aircon businesses are always busy in FNQ. This company has excellent communication with their customers, using both phone and emails. Reliable and very helpful. Thanks.

Unfortunately our Air/con system in the living area packed up on 06/01/22. Contacted Kenfrost Homes on 07/01/22 with our [Air/Con System still under Warranty] & they passed on our details to Alphacool, contacted by Jordan via email & with Alphacool being so busy with other jobs we had to wait 13 days until 20/01/22 before two young guys came out to check-out the problem, the outside unit was the problem & had to order two parts from interstate. After another 22 days on 11/02/22 the guys returned to install the new parts & completed within 45 min's.All our other units within our home were all fine.Happy Days after 36 days of sweating & living in our bedrooms the coolest rooms in the house.Couldn't have happened at the worst time of the year being summer.

I rang on a Monday to get a quote for a new Aircon and a new hot water system. I left my details and was told someone would call me back. 2 days passed with no call back, so I rang again to see how things were going. I was told the guy who was to call had been off sick. They got my details again and I was told he would call. As the person was sick I figured I would give it a couple more days. 2 weeks later, and I have still not got a call back, or even a follow up call from reception to give an update.Shame they have become to big for the commoner.

Avoid them like the plague is my recommendation. I recently had dealings with Alphacool regarding a leaking three way air conditioner in my rental apartment. All parts of the system, except the pipes, were replaced two years earlier with Daikin units; the installation carried out by Alphacool. As it may have been a warranty repair I called Alphacool to inspect and quote for which I received an invoice of $180+GST (two hours @$90/hr) for attending. The quote was for $2,416+GST which was to isolate the leaking system, effect a simple repair, refill and test the system.I gave the go-ahead to proceed and several days later I received a call from Brendon who told me that he had now confirmed the leak was in the pipes to the living room unit. He also told me they had used up all the quote money and it was going to cost me more money to now find and repair the leak. As I had an unusable system I told him to continue and repair the leak. After the job was complete I received another invoice for $1,612+GST. In total $4200 find and repair a leak in an 'accessible area in the roof cavity' (Brendon's own words).I rang Alphacool and spoke to Jo Banks and told her that the total bill was excessive and she said she would look into it. Several days later she emailed me to say incorrect labour charges had been billed to my job and I would get a refund of $360+GST (I'm still waiting). I rang her back to say the bill was still excessive and she referred me to David. I spoke to him and detailed why I thought the bill excessive (see below) and he said he would look at the invoice and work performed and get back to me. After a week waiting for him to call I had to ring him and his only input was 'It's on the time sheets'. I repeated the reasons I thought the bill was excessive and that he hadn't addressed any of those issues. David said he would look into it and ring me back that day. A week later I rang him back again; his comment was that he had spoken to Martin Wittebol who said the bill was reasonable. This reasonable bill included four hours labour that should not have been billed to my job. This reasonable bill also includes approximately four hours labour for a temporary re-gas of the bedroom units. I did not ask for this as I had already paid to have a portable air conditioner in the apartment. Alphacool was aware of this because they charged me to set it up. I spoke to Daikin in Melbourne, gave them models of the units, and asked for a rough time estimate that I would expect to be charged to identify which system was leaking. Matthew (from Daikin tech staff) said 'A decent tradesman should be able to isolate in 12 hours plus access'. In this reasonable bill I was charged 27 hours. Alphacool have incorrectly charged me, over serviced the work carried out and have spent excessive time to isolate the leak. In my opinion they are arrogant, incompetent and out to rip off customers. Use them at your own peril.Further to Martin Wittebol's reply. The lies continue. I never asked for a temporary repair of the system. Prior to Alphacool being contacted the managing agents of the property and I had already discussed and agreed on partial refunds to any guest who complained about the lack of air conditioning. No one complained. Martin's reply still does not address why they took 27 hours just to isolate which system had the leak. Due to personal circumstances I won't persue this matter any further. I can only hope anyone reading this review follows my advice and goes else where for their air conditioning faults and servicing.

Sons bedroom Air conditioner stopped working in late March 2022 eventually someone came to look at the unit. The outside unit needed a part still waiting for the part to come and be installed. No communication or updates provided by Alpha Cool on progress. I rang over two weeks ago to be told it should have arrived and they will chase the part up. A company may be busy and there may be delays in receiving parts. However it is not too hard to ring waiting customers with an update.

Made the mistake of using them for electrical work. Check costs before you advise them to replace anything. Cost me approx. $300 to get a replacement remote for our ceiling fan!! Yes sounds ridiculous!19/2 - Post my earlier comment, and Marty's comments below, the electrical supervisor contacted me and we resolved the situation to our mutual satisfaction. Am happy to change the rating and I think a business that can discuss, review and prioritizes customer satisfaction however small the issue, is definitely a company to be recommended. Thanks Marty and team

Drives like an absolute toaster. Assume his electrical/hvac work is exactly the same. License plate 095ZCX, driving and swerving around Edmonton school zones and 50 zones doing 70kms. Sped up at the merge zone to come up from behind me and cut me off after the lane closed nearly running me off the road.

The service i received was excellent right from initial contact through to on-site needs assessment and quote and then supply and installation of new and servicing of existing Daikan ACs. The tradies were extremely courteous, informative, considerate, safety focussed, and obviously skilled at their work – and cleaned up and communicated activities and progress along the way. Extremely satisfied so far.
