What a unique place and feature, The tunnel is very dynamic and makes you sit and wonder.Does smell like bats but makes it great to explore watching bats fly around. Take a torch or head lamp.

Great place to stop, interesting. Has bats inside the tunnel so you can either walk or drive through.

I came across this place by accident. Great place to learn some history, you can walk through it with a torch or drive like we did.Our head lights woke the thousands of bats, that make it their home.It is amazing how they built it so long again. There are no toilets, but there is a town about 25km away.

Wow this place is amazing and a nice drive out to it as well. It was something on my bucket list and it didn’t disappoint.

Amazing engineering feat to think this was all done with hard physical labour rather than machinery of today to get trains through the hill rather than over. There are no more trains but it is well worth the walk through rather than driving to get a good honest experience of the whole feat. Bats can be heard but remain still unless disturbed by a large vehicle. Would recommend the trip. Free and pedestrians have right of way. Reccomend this attraction

What an interesting place. We loved the history and being able to drive through or walk we did both about 800metres of dirt. Turn around and drive back through

In addition to driving through the old train tunnel, it's really worth doing a walk through too. It allows you to feel the cool underground temperature, and see the little bent-wing bats clinging to the tunnel walls and ceiling.

An interesting piece of history not to far from Gin Gin. Very easy to access from the main road. You can walk or drive through. There's an interactive information board with many interesting facts and a small table and chairs not to far from the tunnel. There are no toilets or bins here.

Great old railway abandoned (as a railway tunnel only, still in use as a roadway) tunnel. Colonies of bats live on the roof so possibly not a good idea to linger too long due to chance of respiratory issues. Great to drive through though :) There is one of the best information boards I have seen near the entrance.

Cool place to visit, absaloutly loved seeing the micro bats and a byo picnic, amazing piece of history to have the privilege of walking through for free with the familyNote : if heading here after rain the tunnel is slippery and a fair bit stinky but still worth the drive out
