Walked in with family and asked the older lady at the counter if they had anything vegan, the lady said we have heaps of stuff with eggs. I then said of I can't eat eggs vegan is no anim....and before I could out another word she threw the menu at me and walked away.When she finally came back I asked if she had almond milk for coffee,Nah get that from the bakery"It was just really horrible service.The bakery next door however had amazing customer service.Do not recommend Bancroft Bites"

Great food and very good service, will visit again.We came during peak hour, so a little bit wait, but well worth it because the food was very delicious and the coffee was excellent. The place is small but clean and the toilet is very clean as well.

Lunch was worth the waitOn arguably one of their busiest days Easter Sunday had to wait a while for lunch but when it arrived it was spectacular. Steak sandwich and roast vegetable salad were two of the best we have had, highly recommended. Others have commented about the service but with patience the food was absolutely worth the wait.

We ordered and it took over 45 minutes to receive our food. We were hopeful that the wait would bring us amazing food...it didn't! The fish and chips were very nice, the Seafood Hotpot very disappointing. Overcooked( never seen a sorrier scallop) The bakery would be a better choice

Good food, friendly service. Coffee was delicious. Would need just a touch more to deserve 5 stars. But definitely a great choice for brekkie in Metung.

Very small restaurant in the tiny harbour town of Metung and what a cool place it is. Service was exceptional and decor clean and simple. We waited maybe 25 minutes for food and was quite happy to do this as everything tasted super fresh when it came out and just brilliant. Food was seriously gorgeous. Clean toilets too (always a sigh a restaurant don't care-but these guys did). Plenty of mags, papers and water and drinks to keep you waiting for what is a beautifully put together experience.

Service was deadly slow; order was wrong when it finally came; sausages were deep fried BUT the attitude of owner and waitress was rude and insulting. NOT RECOMMENDED unless you want to be told to 'lose the attitude' (after he accused me of trying to do a runner and not pay. My husband was actually still inside the cafe, in fact) and don't mind waiting for mediocre food :(

Amazing food and the service was wonderful, the gentlemen who looked after us was very friendly and professional and made the experience even better. Highly recommend and we will definitely be returning!

As always this place serves delicious food. We had the salt and pepper squid, eye fillet steak, Moroccan chicken, plus dessert was a chocolate walnut pavlova meringue cake. Absolutely heavenly.Service was excellent considering there was only one waitress.The restaurant is small and you do need to book to reserve a table, however it can get a little loud with all the guests in there.Will definitely visit again, and will try breakfast for a change!
