$140 per hour labour?Sealand Marine must have thought my dad was rich as he had a 42 ft boat at Westernport Marina. .Perhaps that's why they charged him a whopping $140 per hour to fix his engine. The final bill was astronomical and unaffordable. So much of the job dad could have done himself if nly Chris had kept him informed of the mounting costs - as he said he would.Anyway my dad died before he was able to afford the bill and Sealand Marine remained very unhelpful. I dont think they realise my Mum is very involved in the sailing/boating community and after this experience we will be sure to remind everyone we meet about the selfish service at Sealand Marine.

Good stock of products but quite expensive. 10mm Polyester double braid is $4.70 per meter. The same product in Whitworths is $2.75 per metre.

Excellent staff and chandlery store

Bought jabsco part through ebay, arrived promptly in old jabsco bag, but was an inferior product and was incomplete. Seller refused to refund via paypal (yet took money through PayPal). Finally got refund via PayPal a month after placing the order. Found exact intact part through Whitworths for a third cheaper. Ebay not the most reliable online shopping experience!

Wish I could give no stars.Chris promised to supply updates as work progressed regarding price and did not - communication was very poor indeed. In the end my husband received a bill that far exceeded the original estimate including a charge for labour at an exorbitant $140 per hour!Sealand Marine charge $2.33 per minute for their labour?OUTRAGEOUSAlthough its convenient to have this service at Westernport Marina you are better off going with a mechanic from Yaringa.The response to this review will probably be that my husband didnt pay the bill for a year - this is because they charged twice as much as expected and he could afford it - and having been very ill died suddenly a few months later. Chris did nothing to help me.
