As a small business and sole trader, I love supporting others in the same boat, and I don’t like to be negative but review and send word of mouth in hope I can save others from making the same mistakes I did, or from having a similar bad experience as mine.I asked THINK SEW to replicate this beautiful champagne dress.I was impressed with the current and older reviews and the efficiency with which she responded to my enquires. I thought this would be a fabulous project to work with her. 

Sue made my & the bridesmaids’ dresses, which are stunning but there were hiccups around mine.I won’t be asking her to fix the dress where faulty craftsmanship cannot be charged or categorised as an alteration.My fault is in trusting her to be a professional dress designer who knew what she was doing when actually I’ve never encountered so much unprofessionalism.I never saw my dress or was booked for a fitting which led me to believe it was worked on the day I came to pick it up, and pick up was delayed and rescheduled SIX times with no room to address changes to my dress.However, it was a vague resemblance of what I discussed with her and the lining does not sit correctly over the bust.I paid whatever was asked, despite her prices continually climbing for both mine and the bridesmaid dresses because I was trusting she knew what she was doing and would make the dress I ordered.2 nights before the wedding, I picked up the dress & was told she was going to do a designers course of which I thought was for interior decorating, then learned Sue meant for making dresses to which she actually knows very little about. Her elderly, unwell mother was sewing the ties I wanted made for the groom and best man and had also been ordered from the beginning, which were still in the making at 8pm!I dropped my dress I wanted replicated in white with the fabrics in to you on the 26th of July and the wedding was the 23rd of September. Initially I was told I could pick it up on the 9th of August!I invested a lot in THINK SEW financially as well as trust and loyalty.I’ve learned some very important lessons in my dealings and I am taking the time to say this, despite wanting just to close the door and not have this thought as part of my happiest day, in a review so others don’t make similar or the same mistakes I did in trusting a business when red flags were constantly going up.I wish her well, but hope that Sue finds a learning path to make her future customers happy regardless of what personal issues we have, if you run a business, you run a business and it should be consistent, professional and fair.I could request a refund for the dress ‘not fit for purpose intended’ under consumer law but I’m not going to make demands or take action.It’s up to Think Sew to or not do the right thing now and I want to move on, only hoping I’ve brought awareness so there’s room for future correction.I don’t want to bring a business down, I’m not about that. I’m about being kind but being thorough.

Sue has been altering my clothes for as long as I can remember and has always produced amazing work. She always listens to my needs and professionally offers her own expertise, I always leave extremely happy and always come back with more clothes to be altered. Highly recommend!!

I thought when a favourite dress no longer fitted that was it. But then I remembered Suha patching up torn jeans to near perfect after a fall and wondered if she could weave her magic again. “Of course I can” and she resized my dress with ease. Suha is amazing ! I go to think sew for all of my alterations. Suha always has my garments ready for me on time and has very kindly finished garments for me in a small time frame. She is so good at what she does and has altered my garments perfectly every time. She has also been able to alter my garments completely by adding low backs, longer straps and different necklines when needed. Highly recommend !

Had an amazing experience here , customer service spot on . Friendly and efficient. Had a dress taken up and altered to fit me perfectly . Was short notice too . I’ll definitely be back to get all my alterations done here in the future .

I’ve been to Suha 3 times now and every-time she has been very fast to complete my alterations and always does a fantastic job. Could not recommend any higher!

Absolutely fantastic. Called in the morning to get my pants tailored and they were ready the following evening. Very friendly staff who I will definitely be bringing my future clothes to. Very accommodating!
