Hard pass on this salon and store. More interested in getting you in their salon ($$) than giving accurate advice.I walked in asking for a home dye or blonde shampoo, having had a bad dye job at another salon leaving me with very yellow hair. I was emotional and very clear that I had had a string of bad hair experiences at good salons and so was not keen to trust anyone else to touch my hair.I was told I couldn't use purple shampoo as the blue pigment would turn it green, and after being convinced that 25yr of experience at Wella meant she knew that I needed a colour, I eventually allowed Angela to do my hair. I also had a few dark chunky foils amongst the blonde which didn't bother me, but after constant confident prodding that they would come out I allowed her to re-foil my fringe, which ended up ginger, the rest of my hair a much better ash blonde.I was constantly told that this was step one in a colour correction, that it would only last a few weeks, and was urged to put nothing else in it, just come back and see her in 3wks for a more long term solution.My second visit was wildly different. My hair was very yellow again as expected, and Angela didn't remember me, which is fine, but would not let me speak when asked what I wanted, just talked over me with all the things that she couldn't do, including the Ash colour she had done last time, talked again about her 25yr experience, and then became frustrated that she wasn't picking up what I wanted, as well as being confused as to how my foils had become so ginger. It was bizarre, I was shocked at the difference, and felt like walking out but didn't because I had driven an hour, was already in the chair, just wanted my hair fixed and had been urged to come back here for that purpose.A different hairdresser did my hair and did a great job of the overall blonde, but despite her efforts was unable to get the ginger out of my fringe. She was ready to finish up, and when I asked about the ginger still being there, she brushed my fringe back over it, told me she had really tried, but that it's 'not that bad', motioning that she was finished. I disagreed, and she said she could have one more go, so applied product to my fringe only and began to work it in with me leaning back at the basin. She repeatedly said 'a couple more minutes' but it was clear from all the staff speaking over me that it wasn't changing. I was becoming increasingly uncomfortable, at the sink, and my scalp was sore from all the work, so I asked her to finish up and left.A week later my hair was very yellow again, so I went for a second opinion at a Hairhouse store in Brisbane. I gave them a recap and told them my hair seemed determined to be yellow and I had been told that purple shampoo will turn my hair green.The staff looked at me like I was mad, were confused about the green comment, walked me over to the wall of shampoos and sold me a set of Nak purple toning shampoo and conditioner.. ie exactly what I had walked into Hairhouse Caloundra to buy, and three washes in the vast majority of yellow is gone (not the ginger though) but I have a workable long term solution.I sent a detailed message about this through Google to Tracey - business owner and partner of Philippe - explaining my experience and asking why I was talked into unnecessary visits and processes when I could have just had the shampoo, and she put me on to Philippe, as he is in charge of the salon.Philippe responded that he would need me to drive for an hour to come and sit in his salon again for him to even consider what I was saying, although he conceded that now I'd used the shampoo he wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway, that his staff told him I'd walked out midway through the final process (which is technically true but very misleading) and wasn't really interested in acting on feedback if it is more than a week after the appointment, when I couldn't have known about the shampoo within a week, so he brushed me off saying he has clients to see. ($$)No care. No accountability. No thanks.❤️

At 4.35pm Friday afternoon when I walked in asking advice about a home bleach blunder, the 3 Caloundra staff all decided they would fix it then and there! I could not believe it. I walked in for advice and to buy some products but they went out of their way to make me feel better and fix my hair. Amazing beyond belief

After having my hair cut at a high end salon, Philip fixed/ transformed this style and results speak for themselves. BTW I walked in to buy purple shampoo. This resulted in a honest conversation and having my hair re-cut. Couldn't be happier. Customer gained. Profesional techniques. Highly recommend.

I love my hair colourist and stylist. Angela and Phillipe you are amazing. I have had so many compliments over my new ‘do’Keep doing what you do so well.

I would love to give these guys a 5+ star rating! After coming from somewhere else that had completely ruined my hair, Hairhouse is working to help me fix and restore my hair resulting in perfection! They are wonderful and so accomodating! Absolute gems! ❤️

My daughters hair was cut with no wash, no blow dry or styling . The price wasn't discussed before hand and it was very expensive for a simple cut.My Mil paid $165 for a cut, n blow-dry. She has short, fine hair. No price discussed prior n no senior's discount offered.She paid high end salon prices for a shopping center experience.

Haven't had to much to do with the hair salon but do pick up my hair products from here often.Friendly staff.Can be a bit frustrating when you know what product you want and someone wants to assist you if you are in a hurry.On the small side of product selection compared to other hairhouse shops, but good selection considering the size of the shop and also the location.
