Wells Cave Track
There is a steady walk all the way up to Wells Cave and then.. it gets a lot harder, so cool, lots of climbing, i didn't bring my climbing shoes but it definitely needs good shoes! Lots of scramble hiking, one section was a bit tricky and i was thinking could i get over this cave, maybe if i had climbing shoes. But the cave is doable to get through... even though it doesn't look like it from afar. Really loved this hike! ❤ The view is very very good!

Great track, definitely more climbing and scrambling than hiking, hiking poles are useless here. Definitely not a track for small children or anyone not used to shear drops and (easy) climbing. The cave section crux is essentially if you will fit through the end, I went with someone who is 6'2 and 115kg and he fit but not by much

Easily the best hike or rock scramble within 2 hours of Melbourne. Going up wells cave and down the canyon track is the best route. None of the scrambling moves are that hard and there are no super exposed areas where a fall would have serious consequences. Definitely try this if you are ok with heights.

Lots of fun for the adventurous at heart! A super fun and challenging short climb more similar to rock scrambling and rock climbing than hiking. Definitely go UP Wells Cave Track and back down on the other part of the loop. Much safer.

When track starts with big vertical rock, we put our climbing shoes on. It saved a lot of time and energy. Still, please plan your trip with a pair of sturdy shoes and always find a stable holds. We went here twice and saw some people gave up at the 3/4, because there is a very vertical part after the cave.

Amazing views once at the top of the ranges. Pick your path based on your skills. Take good solid sturdy shoes. Their are challenging bits to the paths at times.

Great fun taking the Wells Cave Track to Sugarloaf Peak. Just look at the sign ! It's pretty difficult if you are new to hiking. There are a couple of spots which are extremely exposed. Choose the canyons track if you have anyone in the group who are scared of heights or uncomfortable rock scrambling on exposed ledges with a sheet drop...

Warning! This walk is very difficult. Alot of climbing and tight spaces involved. Would only recommend for people that are fit. Other that that, fantastic experience with gorgeous views!

Amazing track but you have to be fit, not be affraid of heights and regular size or small to make it. My husband is 180 and 85kg and almost did not fit in a last cave. Do not take any children you need to carry. Track is more climbing than hiking so make sure your shoes have good grip and wear gloves and protective clothing on elbows and knees. I was scared on a last challenge when I looked down but after we made it to the top it was awesome and amazing. Totally worth it!

Really challenging climbing. A suitable shoes with nails is essential. Keep calm anytime.
