Owen Springs Reserve
Great place to get off the tourist tracks and have some time to yourself. Road was fine could get away with a 2wd if you are careful. No water when we were there in mid April.

An enjoyable 50km track through the park with diverse scenery and not as prone to high visitor numbers as some nearby attractions. Some nice camping places but no facilities which makes it more natural.

This place is hidden away and unless you get off the sealed roads you are never going to see this remnant of how people lived only decades ago...The remains of the house have been loving preserved. You cannot get too close, but you can get close enough to see what is a truly amazing part of australian history.The road in is 4wd only and for most people it is best to observe this warning.

Enjoyed the drive on the 4wd track to get to Redbank waterhole from Larapinta Dr. The camping grounds are spacious but basic with no facilities. Had a relaxing weekend here and the park rangers came by and provided a lot of great park information.

Very good place to go to. So much to see about the history of this region. Much still being uncovered in the desert and around. Also your close to Ayers Rock and other Australian parks to visit at the same time.

An enjoyable 4WD 50km track through the park easy drive in the dry... there were a few tricky sandy points but keep the revs up and enjoy!! Minimal tourist numbers as some nearby attractions. Some nice camping places but literally no facilities ( bring everything in and take everything out) which makes it more natural.

Fun detour to Alice Springs. Camp sites are close to Stuart Highway. Deep sand in the middle, but made it through with a Hilux at 35 psi

Beautiful scenery with great picnic and camping spots near water. It's remote and some of the tracks are 4wd only. Encountered fallen tree across a track, so be prepared. Ruins are great photo opportunities.

Great bush camping, beautiful australian surroundings. No Caravans. Have to book online. The system of booking on line is not good. Not user friendly nor is it tourist friendly!
