Fleet Air Arm Museum

Fun-filled experience, good knowledge for all ages, well maintained and free entry! One can easily spend an hour or more exploring all the displays. The simulator chopper is good one too!

The museum has changed quite a lot since our last visit (back in the 1990s). Have always been impressed with aircraft and more so by naval aviators, so it is always good to read their stories and look at the aircraft that they flew.Our visit was on a warm Saturday morning, earlier in February 2023. Entry is free, however you can make a donation on entry.Easy to walk around on the ground level, although I didn't see a lift to the upper level for those who are less mobile... there may be one there, but I didn't notice it.Recommended.

Very well presented with not a huge collection of aircraft but enough. Mainly post ww2 craft, helicopters and fixed wing. Nice models of battle ships and aircraft carriers. Souvenir shop sells quote a bit of navy apparel. Plenty of parking.

This is a fantastic museum. Entry via donation. Awesome models of ship planes from several wars. All well preserved. We’ll worth the visit

One of the best Museums in NSW, only required a gold donation to get in. Plenty of stuff to explore. Definitely a recommendation in area.

Great activity for a rainy day. Free entry. A lot is on display here to see and learn about ranging from photographs and equipment through engines to trainer jets, fighter jets and helicopters from various times. Realistic helicopter flight simulator. Great gift shop. We had a great time here with family. Friendly staff was very helpful explaining how flying helicopters woks.

Fabulous place to visit. All the memorabilia was outstanding. Highly recommended

They ask for a donation, otherwise free. Coldish warehouse with mixture of planes. About 1 to 2 hours for 13+ age. Kind of interesting to walk around. The art gallery includes some painted stories from the air force history. They have a little section showing old sonar equipment, fire fighting equipment, etc. They have a partially cut open jet engine, boat models, and of course all the planes. Really well laid out. The helicopter flight simulator was a lot of fun. A donation is requested. But definitely worth whatever you wish to donate.

As a big naval aviation fan I was really looking forward to coming here and it did not disappoint! There was tons to see lots of memorabilia from ww1-now and everything in-between! Aswell as a plethora of aircraft especially helicopters, I really enjoyed seeing the sea fury and venom but unfortunately the main aircraft I came to see (A4 Skyhawk) is currently moved elsewhere. The reception staff are friendly and let you do your own thing and look around and the gift shop has plenty of awesome things! The simulator was also super fun, but the best part of all is that entry to see all this is completely free!! Definitely recommend to anyone interested traveling by the area!
