These photos are of the beautiful quiet King parrot Creek, various locations around the flowerdale area, I've fished this creek for 48 years ,and know it well ,up until 9 years ago a native fish the Macquarie perch hadn't been seen for quite some years they are now quite frequently caught and are PROTECTED by the fisheries ,so it's a catch and release ,please do this so the numbers can keep rising as they have been ,since the big floods we had last year alot of snags,being trees , have moved downstream in lots of areas giving all the fish places to retreat and keep this fine creeks eco system up to a very high standard .years ago the council removed the snags ,well not all of them ,but enough to realise that this is harmful to the eco system as the fish had no where to hide and where easy prey to whatever went to the creek to feed ,since its been years of snags being caught in the creek, it's resident fish the brown trout ,rainbow trout ,river black fish and the now awesome Macquarie perch are all breeding and making this creek a pleasure to fish in ,I absolutely believe it's the best shallow water creek to fish in victoria ,It's starts near Kinglake west and travels down to the Goulburn River, it's falls a distance of around 400 m to the Goulburn ,with its winding awesome look and great pools the whole way down, it truly is a Victorian legendary fishing spot and will continue to be as it is for years to come ,PROVIDING,us anglers with some knowledge abide by its rules and regulations, and be there for many generations to come ,thanks for reading peoples go and throw a line in one day and feel like I do everytime I catch a fish from this beautiful place, enjoy everybody and respect it as it will respect you .
