Excellent first timers experience!I was very jittery contemplating my first waxing as I had never had any sort of waxing done before. After extensive research on salons and processes, I ambitiously decided on a Brazilian sugaring (similar to waxing). Still, I was prepared for an excruciating experience having read the equally plentiful scary waxing stories online.I nervously arrived at Astetica (Findon) where Helena’s manner and professionalism easily calmed me to a degree that I was capable of friendly small talk! Even as a first timer I was very comfortable as Helena checked that I was ok throughout. Given the technician's necessary intimate involvement, with Helena's easy jovial nature there was nothing awkward about what is otherwise a pretty confronting encounter.After the first strip was ripped, surprisingly, the process was much more tolerable than I could ever have imagined!Don't get me wrong, yes you will feel a sting when the hair is being extracted. However, I was not in hellish pain; thankfully no tears, insane feelings etc. all the things I had read about. It is worth noting that following recommendations online, for good measure, I had also taken a couple of Panadol 30 minutes before arrival. I would rate the pain as mild-moderate discomfort, but obviously this also depends on your pain threshold...and your technician. Helena was friendly, reassuring and most importantly worked with a quick and efficient calmness.I am so glad I decided on Astetica; I am pleased with the result, wasn't traumatised and I am not in the least bit concerned about my next visit. Thank you Helena!
