We engaged Leon to design our home in Brighton. It was an existing home for my mother that I wanted to extend and live with my children as a three generational family home. Leon navigated the challenging town planning regulations and maximised the envelope so that we all have our private bathrooms and a beautiful open plan living zone with views to wrap around the gardens. The choice of finishes to the interior and the amount of natural sunlight that is captured in the home makes me feel like I am living in a resort every day.

As a way of introduction and a REVIEW of Mr Leon Moulton’s architectural work, let me begin by explaining who I am. I am a demanding design architect with over 35 years of experience so whoever survives designing and completing the construction of any of my houses must be damn good.Leon definitely falls into this category and over the last ten years has designed, documented and executed the construction on two stunning properties. One in St Kilda and the other in South Melbourne, which we are very proud of. Leon’s other exemplary skill set is to patiently and may I add skilfully, manipulate his way through the mine field of the local government town planning and building by laws. It’s an art form to achieve what Leon has managed to achieve within the rigid restrictions imposed by our draconian planning regulations.Leon’s innate practicality sense of proportion, colour and space has resulted in the two luxury houses which were a joy to live in, and when up for rent were ‘snapped-up’ almost instantly.
