Pearly nails and beauty

Really not good. Two of us booked an appointment but we were still kept waiting for over half an hour before they were ready for us. Staff were unable to understand or provide the effect we wanted. A rushed job and a poor, messy finish. Cannot recommend.

As a good loyal customer of Pearly Nails over the many many years they have been in Avalon & Mona Vale. Today was absolutely appalling beyond belief. The sign on the front door says they now open at 10am, so I was there at 10am waiting behind another three women. They were 30mins late (as usual- always late). Anyhow they they let the first three ladies enter and said to me “come back later”. I said I was happy to sit and wait at the front entrance so I didn’t lose my spot (if others were to show up which is usually the case). He shouted “YOU”LL BE WAITING A WHILE” and I said calmly, “happy to wait” whilst all the ladies in the salon were MORTIFIED by his actions. He then got in my face and aggressively shooed me and yelled, “GO TO MONA VALE SHOP” I said, no I’m happy to wait here. Anyhow another lady turned up and he let her in! Straight past me after waiting for 30mins! Then I asked him can I come in… he points at a chair so rudely. Anyhow I sit there and the ladies were doing a horrible job on my nails very rough and quick didn’t get any massage or cleaning the nails etc. He was very rude and short to new customers coming in. I told him he was Rude! He started abusing me in front of the whole salon (about 8 females). I was so embarrassed as I had done nothing wrong. He said your a difficult customer!!! Which I’m not, I’m actually a loyal customer who supports them. Won’t be now!!!!!!!

Made an appointment for 930; got there they were closed. Website said opens at 930 so called only to find out they actually don’t open until 10. I asked why was I offered a 930 appointment if they would be shut and got no answer. So I asked for appointment to be cancelled and went somewhere else. Customer service was so not impressive and by the reviews I am not the first one so one suggestion: fix website opening hours and make your staff aware of your actual opening hours. On the bright side, the salon I went to after this missed appointment was excellent

A horrible experience. Pedicure hurt, she cut my toe. It bleed a lot and it was the shortest service I’ve ever had-$50, complete mistake going there. Stay away is my advice

This morning a lady by the name of Sue Donaldson left a review immediately after her absolutely deplorable behaviour... her appointment was 10am and this occurred at 9.58 am. Her Behaviour was totally uncalled for and the owner was so Shaken that he asked her to leave the shop which I do not blame him. How dare you trash this hard working business and immediately leave a nasty Google review ... They are doing the absolute best they can with the limited staff they currently have.I have reported your horrible review to google. Your aggressive behaviour toward the owner was so unkind. To say that he was going to punch you is a lie ... he just asked you to leave as you left everybody present quite shaken.

as someone who has been getting my nails done for years and i am particularly disappointed in this salon. i made a booking with few friends and asked for SNS with extensions, they didn’t put the SNS even remotely close to my nail bed/cuticle, therefore making them look like they have already started to grow out despite getting them done less then 2 hours ago. not mentioning making me bleed multiple times while filing my nails also proceeding to laugh at me when i asked for shorter nails. please save your money and time and go to a salon that has some sense!!

I’ve never gotten my nails done before, but texting a friend throughout the experience she assured this was not usual. The customer service was appalling. I had my hands shoved and yanked and felt thoroughly manhandled. I wasn’t sure what I wanted originally and they made the assumption I knew and didn’t give me any advice. At one point a staff member, without asking, picked up my headphone case, touching my property which made me uncomfortable. Not only that, but I’m not entirely happy with the outcome and felt too uncomfortable to say anything. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

Worst Nail Salon!! Will not be coming back. I entered Pearly Nails and Beauty, Mona Vale. The lady that I presume was in charge told me to come back in half an hour. I was the first one in the shop so I thought that I would be receiving my manicure and spa pedicure first, however many other people came in after and received service before me, leaving me to wait. I had pedicure but did not receive the spa treatment, they still charged me for it. The male that was doing my manicure took a break half way though to go onto his phone for about 10 minutes. After that he smudged two of my fingernails. Later when I came to the counter to pay he unexpectedly charged me for the redo, took my $60 voucher and said that was the whole cost when i only got my nails painted. In total I was in the salon for 1.5 hours waiting for 45 minutes and very unhappy with how my nails turned out. They used the same tools on every customer without cleaning them. I highly discourage people to get there nails done at Pearly nails as they are not proper professionals and are working in a unclean environment.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had a 10am appointment for a pedicure. Arrived at 9.57 to find shop closed and no one around. As their website said opens at 9.30 I called the number to make sure they were opening. Male who answered was very rude and aggressive, said we'll be there by 10 and hung up on me. Car pulled up right on 10 and in I go. I suggested maybe they should update their website as it says 9.30 opening. Same man I spoke to on the phone starts shouting at me and looked like he was ready to punch me. I was sitting and he was standing over me yelling. 2 other people trying to push him away from me ( I'm 67 by the way) Other man who had remained very calm then says we won't be giving you pedicure today. What the!!!!! I told him I have a prepaid voucher, he says show me the voucher. I got the voucher out ( I'd received at Xmas 2021). He looks at voucher and says already expired even though it clearly shows 2024 as expiry but he insists it's a 2 not a 4, and it's now illegal to issue vouchers with only 6 months validity. DO NOT USE THIS SALON. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL

Happy with the end result! However, I found that they don't use a booking system so you may have to wait half-an-hour despite calling up in advance... some people were using air pods to block out the worker's conversations... and when they answer the phone, it is on loud speaker for everyone to hear.
