They say that most things have two sides- one good and one bad. It is certainly true for my teeth.They got so inadequate in what they were supposed to do, for example, chewing, that I felt almost desperate at times as I didn’t want those removable dentures. I personally did not have any pain but there was quite a bit of swelling and bruising, all of which was mostly gone after two weeks. This photo is one week post op. I can't do a before photo because I didn't do photos. I had done a plethora of research on offers out there but after doing the online seminar with Next Smile Ballarat I knew that they were the leaders in this field and that this was for me but it was going to be a matter of finances.After attending the free indepth consultation and being given my options I went home and read through all the information and options and within 24 hours decided to go all in and do top and bottom all on 4. Brian and his wonderful team put me at ease straight away and I had no nerves, just anticipation of finally having a smiling photo with my grand children.On the day, I spoke with Brian and then met David the anaethist who was very reassuring and off to sleep I went. 3 hours after surgery Brian attached my teeth. I could not have dreamt of a better outcome when looking at my smile for the first time. I was very numb for the first 36 hours with swelling and bruising peaking day 3. I never required the pain killers even though I had them on hand. Now I will try them out and decide if there needs to be any tweaks for the final set.It was an investment in myself that I do not regret. Self care is not indulgent.Words cannot express to Brian and this team how grateful I am to them for the care and respect I received. You were all amazing at making me feel comfortable. After extensive research and attending several other facilities I found Next Smile more interested in what outcome I wanted and how they could give me that. I had All on 4 Upper, found the procedure and care by Dr JOHNSTON and his assistants very good. They were very attentive and certainly made me feel secure/safe before and after procedure. The day after I have had very little swelling or pain no bleeding and was feeling very well a lot better than what I thought I would. The after care and follow up from Next Smile has been amazing I appreciate the time they have taken to make contact with me to find out how I am travelling. Would thoroughly recommended any person thinking of this procedure to definitely make the enquiry.

After a fair period of research and gathering various professional opinions, I decided to go down the All on 4 path (upper & lower arch) with Brian Johnston at Next Smile, Ballarat. All members of Brian's team were extremely professional and supportive in the lead up to the procedure, giving me confidence in what was about to take place. A similar experience followed with post surgery. I seemed to be travelling pretty well for a couple of days, not requiring the pain killing medication very often. Unfortunately, on the fourth day post surgery a condition very similar to pneumonia set in. This persisted on the fifth & sixth days but began to dissipate by the seventh. Now on the ninth day my main issue is simply that l am very tired, have some headaches, but don't require pain killers for my gums. The temporary set of teeth feel extremely bulky and in places a little painful. Overall l am coping well.
