Rockingham Medical & Dental Centre

Went to the doctors as I had a nasty virus, I wanted antibiotics to help it, a week later I felt worse so I went to my local pharmacist to see if they had any over the counter stuff just to be told the medication I was prescribed was for treating out of body skin infections and that it was the completely wrong medicine for the sickness I had. I then tried to book an appointment and was told the next available appointment is 4 weeks away! Or I could just come in and pay the super affordable $75 fee for an hour wait walk in right? What a joke

This is by far the most frustrating centre to attend. Have just stood in the quest to checkin for GP appointment, while others stood in the payment queue as walk ins, got served and are now being seen in my appointment time. The front desk check in process is the worst. Although I pick the correct queue, they have operated differently to the signs for my last 3 visits which have been to my detriment. Lucky I like my GP.

Amanda was amazing. So much time and care spent understanding and filling out my careplan. Has a lovely bedside manner and gave great counsel on looking after myself. Wonderful customer service and felt valued as a client.

The receptionist are polite and very helpful in fact they went out of there way to help me with what I needed. I am also very happy with my GP Dr Theron she really takes the time to stop, look at you and listen when you are talking it makes me feel heard and I really appreciate that in a Dr all in all my experience at this centre was fantastic and I will be returning.

Rockingham medical centre has become a joke! The worse practise to deal with. In the last month between my family we have booked and confirmed 3 appointments only to attend and be told the Dr is not in. No phone calls from the practise to cancel the appointment instead all one gets is a bunch of lies and a coward of a manager who refuses to come out of her office and speck with you. I believe this centre is booking appointments with bulk billing Dr’s only to have you attend the appointment and then tell you the Dr is not available so you are left with no option other than to pay $75 to see a private Doctor. Surely it can’t be a coincidence having happen 3 times in the past month. The phone service is pathetic, no longer being able to speck with reception and the tele-service having no clue.The practise refuses to take ownership of their faults instead giving some random email to send your complain to.

The doctors are great, but reception is a mess. Everytime I have waited 20min in line to check in. The new line causes people to have to crowd in front of the elevator. There are not enough staff. The check in machines don't work. The signs in reception have confusing messages like saying no walk ins, yet they still have walk in appts.

I went to the centre yesterday for a appointment that was booked weeks ago only to be told by a smiling receptionist that the Doctor was not working that day i had planned my schedule in advance moving work aside to attend this appointment.Not a good experience from reception and the office manager who is incompetent for the position she is in.

Dr's are always available during the week as a walk in patient paying $40 out of pocket, unless you've got time to wait for a booked free appointment.All the staff are friendly and smiling even when being abused by society.They provide service not privelage.
