The owner is an absolute legend. Stopped for a quick beer on my way through and my battery went flat out the front. She left the bar with customers there to drive her ute around and jump start me. It was 9pm and in the rain too! The patrons also offered too push start me.And to top it off, the beer is cold and cheap!Awesome place and people

Desperate for a late night meal driving back to Cairns from Innisfail and thought I was too late for a meal. The lovely lady there cooked a mean chicken schnitzel. Thank you

The fish n chips meal is perfect every time, we look forward to it every week.

I'll always remember the first time I was at the Mirriwinni Hotel. I was obviously sitting at the bar having a few quiet ones and I got to having a yarn with the publican. He informed me that he had recently purchased the pub and that he did in fact originally come from South Australia. He also said to me that he was absolutely loving it to be living now in FNQ. To which I replied that he was absolutely correct and it wasn't too bad at all. He went on to say that he had plans to conduct a lot of renovations to the pub. One of the first things to be renovated was the old cool room.This is only a smallish pub, but the town itself isn't exactly what you would call a massively huge thriving metropolis. Small town small pub. Just the way it should be. This is a nice pub to stop at when visiting the area to have a break. And maybe a nice cold beer as well. Especially a nice cold beer. That's what Far North Queensland is for. So don't just keep driving past the Mirriwinni Hotel when you go cruising up or down the Bruce. Stop in and have a quiet break. You'll appreciate it and so will your fellow traveling companions.

Cheap takeaway prices,way better than Gordonvale,but that's not hard to do, Gordonvale most expensive in the region.
