Finding a mechanic you trust can be quite a challenge, so you can imagine how happy I was to find Pierre Collet.Bought my 2005 Liberty at Pierre Collect more than 2 years ago after they were recommended to me. It was actually cheap thanks to the pretty high mileage. That didn't keep them from going over the car properly before delivery however. They wanted to make sure that when a car leaves their shop, they're confident it's good.And it has been. Outside of basic stuff that I already knew about when I bought the car and some small wear and tear items it's been completely reliable.Now there's plenty of shops out there that can sell you car, but it's the little things after the sale that truly set a shop apart. I drive an hour once per year to have the car serviced, yet they know who I am just from describing the car. And that isn't because they have nothing to do, rather it's the opposite. They just know their stuff and their customers clearly know that.It shows in their knowledge of Subarus. Hear a tiny random sound while driving? I'm fairly confident they can tell you what it is while describing it over the phone. And more importantly, they'll be completely transparent with you about the costs involved and will tell you if it's something you should worry about or not.A shop that thinks along with you like that is rare. It's all too common you're told to do work that isn't really necessary.I was recommended to go here and based on my own experiences over the last 2 years, I've recommended them to many others as I am now recommending them to anyone reading this.Owning a car, especially an older one, can be stressful, but Pierre Collet takes a lot of the stress out of it. I just wish they were located a little closer to me!

I was initially very impressed with the communication and have been a customer for a few years, inclusive of covid lockdown. But the last couple of times were slightly disappointing. A couple of weeks ago, I was initially told a general service would be $200-$300 given the kms and age of my car. Later, I discovered my total bill was $550 odd. I did not get a call to ask if I needed the extra work done. Given I picked up my car outside of business hours I was not given any feedback about what had taken place. When I asked why authorisation was not obtained before work was done, I was told that there’s only two mechanics and they were too busy to call; also it was assumed that I would want my brakes fixed. Seriously, you’re running a business — how effective are you if you are resourced to look after your communications / customer service? This coupled with the fact that a year or so back, the prices quoted on new tyres changed at the last moment … the power in my car not being the same after the air conditioner was fixed … it’s not really adding up to continue doing business here. Nick’s wonderful interface as front man is not enough if the actual service is not aligned. Disappointing.

We bought a second hand car from here. It was a pleasure to deal with all of the people we dealt with. They were knowledgeable, thoroughly decent people who know cars from servicing them in the workshop which is one half of the business. I don't usually leave reviews like this but I thought these guys were really good.

I wasn’t ready to buy in terms of finding my next car and planning. I found a car online that was appealing and wanted to check it out in person. The way things rolled through these guys on the Saturday I went in. With a test drive, trade in pricing and securing finance. I couldn’t have asked for or planned a more free flowing experience. They even listened to me when I went through my rant on my trade in on the pickup day. In where I was at with servicing and weird sounds… also with the car I bought they were transparent with any known issues. What they were going to do to bring it up to road worthy and also things I had picked up on. That they fixed… lastly. From overhearing chat with other potential customers while waiting. They only pick the best cars for resale through them that they come across. The car I bought was in great condition and perfect for where I’m at with cars. In terms of self servicing and what I wanted…

As a women I used to dread going to a mechanic, but not anymore. I have purchased two cars from Drew and had both serviced by the team. Customer service is excellent and I always get a clear understanding of what I am paying for and why. I am also told if something can wait a bit longer. I have finally found a team I truly trust.

Honest, skilled and friendly. Been going there for 7 years since I bought my Forester from them. They also service my MX5.
