Perfect place for a country house getaway in the southern highlands. The staff are friendly and attentive and the rooms comfortable and the food is excellent.

From booking to departure ..... what an amazing 5 star experience. Bronwyn was a wonderful host making our booking and arranging every single aspect of our stay, it was effortless and she was very professional, arranging high tea, dinner and spa bookings, just perfect. The gardens are breathtaking. Our room was amazing, so spacious, one of the biggest hotel rooms we have EVER stayed in and the amenities were fantastic with a great mini bar and real" coffee. Breakfast was so tasty

Beautiful location and surroundings. The property is well maintained and the staff is professional. On our arrival, there was some confusion regarding our room with an extra bed but the young lady at the reception counter was fantastic with her customer service. We were there in December just few days before new year eve. The weather was not to warm, infact mornings and late evenings were pleasantly cool. The property has lots of activities including pool table, tennis, gym, wellness spa, swimming pool, bar and restaurant.Walking in the garden is blissful (minus mosquitoes and spider webs) well maintained willow trees, fountains and other garden features.Would love to visit again next year.

If you are looking for a modern chain of hotels then best to avoid. If you are looking for something a bit more interesting then this is great.Lovely Spa, old country house feel that is hard to get in Australia, pool, interesting gardens to walk around, great dinner, fantastic service from everyone working there. It's not perfect, the place is feeling a little tired but the wrinkles give it character. Other minus was the breakfast maybe needs a few more options. We loved it though.

The premises is an old English charm with lush, green and well kept gardens. The staff were amazing, helpful and cheerful. The rooms are comfy, roomy and clean. Dinner was done to perfection, not a big variety but an excellent selection. Breakfast included both continental and hot meals finished with hot fresh home made muffins. In general we had a great stay and will not hesitate to visit again.

I surprised my wife for a two night stay for her birthday. The stand out features were the wonderful, friendly & helpful staff (cannot praise them highly enough), the restaurant food and the location. If you want a nice quiet getaway, and spoil yourself and a loved one for a few days, I can highly recommend this place. The room (as with the hotel itself) was starting to show its age however, it was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We were fortunate to get a room upgrade.....bonus :). I understand a new General Manager was recently hired to handle renovations. The place does ooze charm & character and is located on a picturesque hilltop property surrounded by lovely gardens. During your stay you must visit the indoor pool and spa.

Absolutely stunning winter retreat. Beautifully maintained historical building and immaculate country gardens. We loved our stay here. Our intention was to find that perfect place that allows us to escape busy Sydney but not drive too far and this place ticked all our boxes. Our room was gorgeous and overlooked a lovely courtyard with fountain. We had lovely breakfast buffets with a nice variety of hot and cold selections.Afternoon drinks at the bar was fun and Juliet the bartender greeted us everyday warmly and looked forward to impressing our taste buds with the array of cocktails she could make or experiment with.Charming and serene is every little nook of sitting spaces from the huge verandahs to plush sofas by the fire. My favourite thing was to curl up on verandah with a blanket in the afternoon sun and read .We loved the restaurant the food was divine but you need to reserve a table asap as it gets booked out fast. Thanks so much to the staff for making our stay so wonderful.

Loved my stay here! The ground are absolutely stunning and your camera roll will be full with pictures of the whole estate. The building is old and as such there is general wear and tear. This is not the place for you if you want modern chic. Milton House is charming and cosy and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. I received a free room upgrade and when I inquired about check out time, they extended my check out by an hour.

We have had the good fortune to stay at Milton park several times in the last few years and overall we would highly recommend it.The staff are attentive, courteous and professional. The food is of excellent quality with a great selection of wines. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and linen. The only negatives would be the very poor lighting in the bedrooms. For us older folk, we rely on good lighting to be able to do most tasks, including trying to find clothing in our suitcase or the ward robe, with no lighting in those areas.I love to knit in the afternoons and found myself out in the garden to find light, as it was very dark during the day. I admit it was a cloudy day, although at least one good light wouldn’t go astray.A makeup mirror with light would also be a very useful addition to the bathroom. Once again it was difficult to get close enough and see into the mirror to apply makeup, with the beautiful big antique vanities.
