Writing a review for a church is a strange thing to do. There are many things that NVBC is not perfect at but these pale in comparison to the Good News about Jesus and the opportunity to live in response to that within a local church community.I would recommend you come visit this place at one of their sunday services. Whether you are someone who is not sure who Jesus is, visiting while on holidays, just moved to the area, or visiting from another local church to build connections and get/share ideas between churches. Some things NVBC does well:* NVBC believes and is committed to the truth of the Good News about Jesus. His life, death and resurrection.* Intergenerational/Families. All the services at NVBC have a mix people in different life stages which allows for learning and interacting with older and younger people.* They wrestle with the divine. Not all questions have easy answers NVBC provides space where people are allowed to question and not simply told what they should believe.* NVBC provides a space for believers to meet together and be in fellowship.* Coffee, normally there barista coffee available before/after service. (I don't drink coffee but I have heard it is good)Some things that are not so good:* Pastors/staff don't have infinite time for you, on a Sunday service there are lots of things going on, the pastors/staff are normally pretty good but still a limited resource.* Kids are annoying, NVBC values families which means that often there are kids that run around and make noises when you wish they wouldn't.* The people that attend are still broken sinful people. They form cliques, have interpersonal dramas, act hypocritically, put on fake pretenses of spirituality, and various other forms of questionable activities.* You can't sit back and expect to feel connected and comfortable. People will attempt to help where they can but you also need to be an active participant.I have attended here for many years so my experience may not be particularly relevant if you are thinking of visiting.

A welcoming, loving and Jesus centred church. I am impressed with this church's creative ways of presenting the gospel, and their strong mission focus, to bring the love of Jesus into our community.

Narara valley Baptist church has been my home church for 32 years and has always provided me with the spiritual nourishment to continue my faith walk. I can't speak highly enough of the pastor's that serve here and their genuine care for the people who attend this church. The children's program provides an enriching environment for our children to grow and seek out their own faith walk. Would encourage anyone looking for a church to come along.

I found many of the staff members to be unwelcoming and rude. It's a very small church that seemed very inclusive to me. The members ignore you when you try to introduce yourself and they will keep to their friends. The outside volunteers are too busy chatting to each other than greeting you when you first arrive. There is also loud screaming from church volunteers playing outside in the basketball court during the service which was disrespectful. I've complained to the pastor, but he couldn't care less about my complaint. I've moved on to another church with better services.

Fantastic church. Welcoming, friendly, fun, biblical and open-minded - the church volunteers are always so welcoming and love to grow culture like playing a game of basket ball before evening serving #fillthe4:30. Super In touch with youth. A church for all ages. Yew. Much love.

Authentic church, don't go to youth much there coz I'm from a different youth. With the PM services I love the youth band idea!!

I grew up in a Pentecostal church but when I was old enough to make the decision to go and find my own church I really found one. Narara Valley Baptist has amazing biblical teaching that portrays humility in everything they do. It's one of the only churches I've been to that has incredible people, awesome worship and sound doctrine all in one. Couldn't have asked for a better church.
