I have had items in auctions with Albion Antique Auction Centre. The results of the auction were okay until it came time for us to be paid the profits. All my items made between $265-285, after taking their costs we received $71. We will never be returning to these Auctioneers" . Worst experience EVER!!"

This is a great place to buy or sell antiques and other products. I have done both, and I had pleasant experiences both times. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the items available are always interesting. The prices and premiums are very reasonable. I would recommend the AAAC to anyone.

If you have an Estate, that you want to put at the Auction, and you have other family members of the estate that would like to buy an item from the Estate, this Auction house does not allow it. Contradicts there condition of sale. Other Auction houses have no problem with this, that is where I would go, if you have this situation.

As a customer of some years standing I found this auction house to be efficiently run, with interesting stock, and with staff who are hard working. Unfortunately I also found that my experience was irretrievably marred by the behaviour of the owner.Cameroon Trindall was repeatedly unhelpful and disrespectful on occasions when I had a query or complaint. Talking over me, deflecting, gaslighting, playing the victim, and walking away were all part of his repertoire. To illustrate I will describe my most recent, and final, interaction.I returned a silver plated bracelet and politely asked for a refund on the grounds that the catalogue description of the item as'únmarked silver' was misleading. In my experience, in the antiques trade this term describes an item which is made of silver but is not marked as such. To avoid confusion any silver coloured item not known to be solid silver (the metal) is described as silver coloured, or white metal, or some variation along those lines. The owner and also the employee who had written the description said that the 'silver' in this case referred only to the colour and it was entirely my fault for thinking otherwise.Below I paraphrase the arguments Cameroon used to support his case and my answers to them. Most of these answers I did not actually give at the time, because I was given little opportunity to speak (being talked over and finally walked away from) and also because I felt intimidated and humiliated.1. 'Ýou should come in person to inspect the item.'Me:a. It would not be necessary if the description were accurate.b. It would not have helped me as I could not tell it was only plated from an initial visual inspection.c. It certainly would not help customers who live too far away to inspect in person.2. 'We don't test the metal.'Me: Then let the customer know this is the case and give an accurate description.3. 'We always describe silver coloured items this way. It is not meant to be deceptive.'Me:a. How am I to know that this is what you 'always' do if I have not been caught out by it before?b. The claim that it isn't meant to be deceptive does not hold water. It clearly does deceive because in this case it deceived me and at least one other person who bid high on this relatively worthless object.Interestingly in the course of the conversation the catalogue author told me that he never uses the word 'gold' in a way that can be misconstrued, always using 'gold colour' etc. where appropriate. I asked why he treats gold and silver differently but he did not provide an answer.4. 'You are just disappointed because it turned out not to be silver.'Me: Yes...because I totally expected it to be silver.5. 'We are very hard working people, and you are insulting us!'Me: No. I did not insult you. I just wanted my complaint to be addressed fairly.6. 'Ýou cannot be pleased. With you there is always some problem. It is just you. Nobody else has any problem with us.'This last comment was made in a loud voice to the room where there were other customers in attendance.Me:a. No. There isn't always a problem, however I do try to stand up for myself. In recent years I bought hundreds of lots at this business and spent many thousands of dollars. In that time I made fewer than ten complaints.b. I know that other customers have felt badly treated by Cameroon. I believe that regular buyers, like myself, are reluctant to complain because they want to maintain a working relationship with the business.Cameroon also made it clear that I was no longer welcome at his auction house. He said that I could have my refund on this occasion, however dealing with me is 'too time consuming and too stressful' so I should shop elsewhere in future. On reflection, for different reasons, I agree with this plan. The auction industry in general suffers from a lack of transparency. I think that an auctioneer who puts customers 'in their place' instead of prioritising truth and fairness is to be avoided if at all possible.

Brilliant mixture of eclectic lots every week. Love checking out the catalogue each week. Online auctions make it easy to bid.

It was one of the worst experiences I've had so far. The salesman didn’t greet us at all. He didn’t pay attention to us. He treated us like second class citizens. He was talking to his phone and watching us as if we are thieves. I waved to him and stood near him to let him know I have a question for him. I waited for 5 minutes and he didn't finish his call. It didn't seem an urgent call cause we spent 15 minues at his shop and he was talking to his phone all this time. He didn't care about us. I will never go back there. What a shame. How rude can people be

I have been buying from AAAC for years and have always had very pleasant and professional service from Cameroon and all employees. I buy from auction houses all over Australia, and the personalised service from AAAC to be among the best I've found. The listing descriptions are accurate and the abundance of photos really helps for bidders that can't make it to the viewing. They are always happy to take a phone call when you need to find out more information. They are honest and act with integrity at all times. 5 stars!
