Diverse menu, very generous serves and food prepared with love and skill plus a wine list with local wines by the glass- what more do you want? Well we wanted more and that was dessert and shared a fabulous Eton mess. Worth the long drive to get to this cafe for a delicious meal served without any city attitude.

Lovely spot, great menu options for breakfast (meal we visited for) delicious coffee.Service was a little odd. Eye rolls from staff that served us when we took a little longer (we didn't know within around 2 minutes of looking at menu) to choose our drinks and make breakfast choices. More eye rolls when I ordered a hot drink but hubby hadn't yet. Still more eye rolls when hubby then ordered his hot drink with breakfast!!Other than the unusual service from person who took our order, other staff were lovely. Food was nice, but nothing to rave about (hard poached eggs). Might give it a second chance when we visit the area again.

Terrific food, we had a Chicken, pesto and avo Foccacia (I think) between the two of us. Really tasty and HUGE! Didn't need dinner that night! And, a nice pear tart thing that we saved for afternoon tea.

This review is based on context. This is a great cafe, it doesn't have much competition but it is trying to be good regardless of the monopoly. fist bump.good - soup, sweets'n service. Bad - retirement village coffeeWe had a lamb soup (excellent 9/10) and a roasted beetroot thing (expensive 6/10). The coffees are what we associate with old people (sorry - not sorry) they were super hot with foam on top. (we also suspect the machine isn't cleaned from the taste,1/10). Previously we have had the burger 7/10. Look for the meringues and sweets - they're on pointIt has a comfortable open dining area with a small courtyard to the side. The wait staff were attentive and pleasant and the menu is varied if not a little pricey for lunch. $25avg.

I just wanted fish n chips with the kids on the jetty but hubby wanted good coffee so we came here.We were not really dressed that well and had our kids with us, I felt as if the place was a bit too pretentious for me. How wrong was I!The staff were lovely and tried really hard. The decor was an interesting eclectic mix that mostly worked. The food was really yum! I was worried when I saw the prices but honestly it was fine the quality and size made up for it.Cakes looked great, hubby had a giant scone.Glad to report nothing pretentious (well maybe one or two of the customers!) and a really good experience.

We poped in by chance and what a great experience! Atmosphare was great and service excellent. But it was the food that was the best! We had pancakes and carrot cake. One portion would have been enough for us three and it was delicious. Recommended!!!

Today was mother's day, 8 people for lunch. $500+ bill. My main meal did not arrive, was over looked by the staff. No sense in making a scene, mistakes can be made and it would take a further 30 minutes to cook and everyone would be finished. Staff member apologised, accepted, but owner during her apology stated we had enough food so we could share, I did not appreciated that comment, again I held my tongue. On leaving owner interrupted a conversation between us with a spiteful tone asking what I had said. The conversation had nothing to do with the restaurant or anything that occurred in it. The final insult was that there was no compensation for their mistake and the full bill minus my lunch was expected to be paided. I have been to this restaurant 3 times with local friends and spent over $1k in total during those visits. The food is good, but this visit ruined what should have been a nice day out. I recommend that if there is a problem with your meal here, make a scene, politeness doesn't pay here. I will never again set foot in the place!
