Great atmosphere. Great location.We came here for oysters from 1 dollar on a Sunday.Thet had limited stock, and we were told that their would be live music.The musician didn't even show up.Other than that, we enjoyed our visit. Will come back soon.

Have been to Dalgety many times as our local pub in Teneriffe, particularly for Tuesday parmi night that we absolutely love. It’s such a good deal for value ($25 with a beer/wine/soft drink) - the parmi’s are consistency huge and delicious with tender chicken, quality ingredients and so much flavour. The fries are very nicely seasoned, and I’m not a slaw lover - but I smash and crave this creamy slaw. Monday steak night was great, but they only offered gravy which was the only let down.They also do great lunch specials - $20 with a beer, wine or soft drink. Staff are friendly, and the recent change of layout and tables is much improved. Plenty of dining both inside and outside on the deck, it’s nicely decorated inside, bathrooms are modern and clean. Great spot to watch sport, they do trivia as well, and there’s sometimes live music too. Overall it’s a fantastic local pub for Teneriffe and it’s always a pleasure coming here.

Dalgety 2.0 Public House
Went to Dalgety 7th May for their oyster special and stayed for a meal. The oysters were great value and delicious but it was my hubby and his mate who raved about their sirloins being cooked to perfection. They both said they were the best steaks they’d eaten in a while. I had the beef burger which was also made well. Big thanks to the chef and the bar team.

Unfortunately disappointing experience at Dalgety 2.0 Public House. While there was a previous review of extremely slow service, decided to give it a benefit of doubt given the owner replied it was tough during the floods. However, the wait times are truly ridiculous, over an hour (not even appetizers served first - and not even the wings on a Thursday when it’s a special….?!). The bartender / waiter was nonchalant when we asked about the food saying it would be probably another 10 minutes. Food was ok, but given the plethora of choices in the area, I am confident we could have had a much better meal anywhere else. Probably ok if you are only here for a drink and not planning to eat at all. Would not recommend.

Bar staff are friendly and service is of a very high standard. They certainly know how to make a decent martini!!!! Great location and the ambience is superb. Don’t get there as much as I should as a local, but highly recommend. Great outside area!!!!

Dis not enjoy this schnitzel at all. It was overcooked and burnt on the outside and the cheese was extremely strong. Definitely not the mozzarella written on the menu. Fries and calslaw saved the dish. Also the mushroom sauce was served basically in a thimble. Can we get a decent sizing of sauce please? Was not impressed.

Have been coming here regularly over the past year, but last few time has been a massive disappointment. Last nights meal was subpar at best.Parmigiana was dry, as thin as a piece of paper and not flavoursome at all. Asked for a few cokes, but apparently not coke but Pepsi, plus they were flat as a tack and more ice in the glass than the North Pole, just enough room for a mouthful of coke, I mean Pepsi.$74 for two Parmis and two flat watered down Pepsi’s, what a joke. Definitely won’t be back, can get better service, quality of meals and drinks elsewhere in Newstead!
