Awesome place to camp has 2 creek crossings so if you have a lowered car it's a no go but as long as it hasn't been raining the average car will be fine

Such a great camp site - beware of the kookaburras that swoop down to take food right from your lap. Unfortunately the showers were closed this time (August 2021) and as there hasn’t been much rain, the creek is sitting still with quite a bit of green growth beneath the water.

Lovely swimming hole there but as we don't have a 4x4 we had to park & walk about 700m so not too far. You have 2 shallowish parts of the creek to cross but they can't be done in a small car. You need at least an all wheel drive such as a Forrester

Lot of flat space good for camping. Some spots you can drive your 4wd to camp in some spots have wooden post that stop you doing so. Make sure you know what site you get before going

Such a magic spot. The camp sites are well kept and the facilities were good. Plumbed toilets and running water avaliable (not drinking) the Creek was beautiful, with plenty of spots deep enough to swim, and walking trails if you'd like an adventure. Kids had a blast!

Currently my most favourite camping site.Me, my partner along with our toddler tried to do our first solo camping and we have both agreed to do it here. Didn’t expect much at first but our 3 days 2 nights there were unforgettable. The rainforest camp vibes made as chill, super relax and not bothered at all. My son enjoyed it and keep saying camping. The fresh water is so clear and refreshing that’s why it’s a popular place. The camp fee is cheap and the area is clean. I just hope the other toilet were done with the maintenance. Glad there’s not much mosquitoes when we visited. Love the road trip too as we have a 4wd which is recommended.

Booloumba Creek Camping Area 1
Camp ground no4 may have been ok in the past but sadly it is in need of an up grade presently. An appearance of a ranger now and again might help discourage the anti social behaviour that we experienced recently. Many mature age couples at the camp ground felt unsafe by the loud music and foul language. No refunds if you vacate early either. We certainly will not return.
