Kelso Beach Reserve
Lovely picnic spot by the river, go on a weekday and hopefully the tranquility won't be spoilt by jet skiers. Plenty of shade under trees but could do with more shaded seating. Nice play area but dated equipment more suited to 4 - 8yo. Only one toddlers swing. It has a toilet but didn't use, so can't comment on the amenities.

Kelso Beach Reserve
Nice peaceful picnic and fishing spot, right on Henry Lawson Drive, just 2kms from M5 Motorway. Many reserves, walking tracks and sports grounds surrounding.4 kms to Georges River National Park.

Great little spot right on the side of Henry Lawson Drive. No proper parking, but plenty of space on the shoulder (gravel) to leave the car and get in and out.About a 20-30ish metre walk down a slight slope onto the beach. There's a pair of covered picnic tables, bench and bins. Was easy enough to put the kayak in and set off. Not recommended if you can't carry/drag/wheel your kayak the 20-30m plus incline, but not an issue for most.Nice paddle both down stream and up.

Since the flood and with the mud slowly disappearing, another of Bankstown Councils' little known Jems is slowly comming back to life. And while some of those usually required check boxes aren't ticked like: parking;on street parking is available, but risky being along the shoulder of Henry Lawson drive. Or:Wheelchair access; There isn't any. So not advisable for some. But come and see. Still, in the more pleasant weather or even now, there is plenty of seating for small numbers, which is where some of the appeal is with this place. So it can be quite enjoyable there having nice clean, grassy slopes down to a small sandy beach. Also, if you venture along the well maintained cycleway, starting at the North end, there are more little picnic spots along the way.Easy to find opposite the southern end of Kelso Oval, which is about two Km's from Panania Diggers (The RSL) and almost the same distance to East Hills pub. Which in turn is across the road from East Hills Takeaway. (Not open Sundays) TIP: Go to the takeaway before the beach.A few more tides and a little rain and Kelso beach will be back to it's old self... Lovely.

Nice place for a picnic or a catch up with mates, but you may see a red bellied black snake so don't go too close to the bushes

Nice little sandy beach on the Georges River. Has a bin, 2 shelters, and a couple of benches. Good launching place for personal water sports.

Nice and peaceful place and uts bit too far from Bankstown. Just about a 18 min drive. Parking spaces can be an issue but else it's a nice place to spend some restful time and be at peace.
