It was the most comfortable motel I have stayed in in a long time. The bathrooms looked liked we were the first to use after they were redone. What a credit the cleanliness was. Very friendly host.Great idea with a very well equipped kitchen that can be used by all guest

Well, well, well…what a gem this lovely motel is….a modern bathroom ….super clean room….a huge communal kitchen with anything you need ….quite big communal lounge room too …outside bbq area and a sitting area throughout the front …only downfall was I couldn’t do any work as internet signal was way too slow …otherwise not complaints

Right in town, good quality room, firm bed and excellent bath room. Large shared kitchen and lounge. Glenys is a friendly and helpful host. Great value and recommended.

Better than expected....great value, well presented, clean and comfortable with all modern cons. We enjoyed 2 comfortable nights here and enjoyed the great value and convenience to the town of Avoca. Had everything we needed. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to explore this wonderful region.

Oh dear what started as an amazing experience unfortunately ended poorly when we had no hot water for a shower in the morning. The lovely Glenys tried hard to work something out for us without luck. While the owners holiday in Bali hopefully with a warm shower we left a little unrefreshed. But what transpired after requesting a call back upon their return fell short. My husband put a follow up call in yesterday as we had not received a call and 24 hrs later received contact today and this is where I cannot comprehend the approach to handling a customer complaint. We were offered 10% off a next stay $9.50. It’s actually not about the money now it is about how you handle a customer complaint. No apology but highlighted to us all the things that were working how much he had spent on the renovations and that he is just a small business trying to have a go. What he doesn’t understand is that your customers and we would have been the best advocates for a great experience are who will pay for that renovation and ensure your rooms are full and who will write you great reviews. I don’t understand how people like this can operate a business and hope to be successful. Best wishes but we won’t be back. As a consumer experience manager I usually don’t write a poor review because I understand the implications but your attitude has left me with no option.

It's not the Ritz, but it is clean, comfortable and reasonably priced in a beautiful township which is gateway to its namesake Pyrenees". Only 2 minutes walk to either of the pubs that serve great quality country hospitality. Great for a weekend getaway from Melbourne to enjoy the many quality wineries in the area!! Stayed many times now ;-)"

Very good room and comfy bed.Room was warm, electric blankets so good for late autumn stay.

Great quality for the price per night. Rooms come with an ensuite, and a communal kitchen with dining and lounge area is at the end of the building. Beds are comfy but firm, and come with warm blankets for the cold winter nights. The showers are brilliant for relaxing.Currently undergoing renovations to allow even more comfort in each room including more modern decor.And as the motel is on the main street, practically everything in the beautiful town is within walking distance.

Place was disgusting. We booked a twin share room. Was given one face washer 1 very small soap and one shampoo and conditioner. When we asked for another facewasher it was a hassel and told you get what you pay for and you will have to pay more. When the owner came down with another facewasher it was dirty like it hadnt been washed. The breakfast was an left open box of wheet bix. Half a bottle of milk that had been frozen and was supposed to be defrosted for our use. Was still frozen. Very rude owner and disgusting dirty room
