I took my very pretty but with very average playability instrument into Salvi's Fine Guitars and asked for a setup, hoping to improve it somewhat. After an inspection and a few background questions by Steve I left said guitar in their capable hands. Lo and behold, the very next day I got a call to inform me it was ready to pick up and as a result, I excitedly headed back to their premises.I picked it up, thanked all those involved and headed home to fully appreciate the difference that Doug had made to the way my guitar plays and sounds, its just not the same instrument, its that much better. And for the record viewers, you do not need an expensive, high end guitar to benefit from a setup by a quality luthier. So am I happy? Absolutely. Would I recommend Salvi's Fine Guitars to others? You bet. Would I use their services again? Without question, the service and value are something to be experienced and not often found in our fast paced modern world. I have a 1972 Yamaha FG360 in a bit of trouble due to age and close to a write off, Steve has taken this guitar in and has performed some amazing magic on this classic, It sounds unbelievable and its spot on all over the neck. Steve is an absolute dude!!! The shop has that really cool vibe that's naturally cool (and not that put on cool vibe" that you get elsewhere)...Im going to say the best prices in town when it comes to the work

Took my Fender Acoustic Bass Guitar in to Salvi’s. It had a compression bump and the frets were a bit lumpy. Well, they fix the bump and levelled the frets and lowered the action. Plays much better and lot smoother. Great job Steve. I highly recommend Salvi’s for any repair work.

Guitar repairs, sales and set ups undertaken in very reasonable time. Salvi and Co do quality work under his guidance, price reflects required work undertaken, make sure you get a quote before you commit. All my guitars have been set up and adjusted here. I use to take my toys to Brian Sampson but unfortunately he has now passed so now Salvi has been caring for them.

The set up done on my 90's Rickenbacker 4003s is simply sensational.. can't state enough praise for the job done,The passion these guys have for their craft is palpable.. Thanks so so much!!

My father and I took his old Maton and my Gibson to get some work done. Very happy with the work done on both guitars. If you want a simple setup, or a bit more extensive work done I'd recommend this place. Friendly, does the job right and for a fair price.
