Glasshouse Rocks
A very nice beach to walk along, a bonus if you like rock formation.Go to the very end of Cemetery Rd, walk along the white fence towards the beach use follow the sounds of the wave, when you reach the tree in the picture follow a worked unsigned path down toward the beach do not follow the trail ..

Brilliant volcanic rock formation, dogs are allowed in this beach.Access to this beach is quiet tricky. Take the Cemetry Road, once on the road ingore the googlemap direction to take the right towards private property road (if it does) and keep heading straight until you reach the cemetry. Once you park the car and enter the cemetery, the trail to the beach starts behind a white fence inside the cemetry.

Secluded beach with beautiful rock formations. Tricky to get here. The trail starts at the corner of the white fence of the private cemetry. Be careful, it can get slippery.

Had major problem getting past GlassHouse. Some of our group pulled out climbing down a series drop. We had been told not to walk via private property. We turned around back about 10 metres and found a break in the trees and bush bashed straight up to mowed track still on private property.

Met a local who advised us this was definitely a worthwhile beach to go to.How good is this place! Untapped, unspoiled, raw and pristine.I was very envious of the two home I saw, both with sweeping lawns and absolutely knockout views!

Access to the beach is moderately difficult (steep) via a path at the southwest corner of the cemetery. It does only take a couple of minutes to get to the beach, however. Once there, there is a brilliant walk to the south along a series of usually deserted arc-shaped beaches. Enjoy the complex geology, the coves and the wildlife. It is best tackled at low tide. Swimming is possible but none of the area is patrolled. Fantastic mini islands - the Glasshouse Rocks - about 600 m from the entrance to the beach. Montague Island is clearly visible to the east. Overall, a great walk with many spectacular photo opportunities.

Glasshouse Rocks
Amazing, spectacular, pristine and very beautiful. Entry to this area is via the top of the Narooma cliffside cemetery and you work your way down a very rough and water eroded track to the Beach, generally around 6minutes. (I'm not fit as I have a spinal injury so it takes me a very, very long time. But it's so worth the week of increased pain )The beach, leaves you speechless, wide areas of surf, wide sandy beaches. Rock outcrops with waves crashing, and Rock pools to explore and amazing geology to be found in the rock formations. The Glasshouse Rock gets it's name from the unsual appearance of the rocks underwater as some look like glass, transparent in the right light. But when you approach them they appear normal. The geology of the rocks in the area is incredible, from layered Chevron patterns clifts that demonstrate the pressures and upheaval to sandstone to volcanic lava outcrops and clifts, with colasped peices as big as cars.

Accessed from the Cemetery, turn right to car park at end. Then follow white fence and go down track past big tree. This was the best place in Narooma for us. From the Cemetry walk down the track onto the beach (hence why best at lowtide) follow the beach round and get up close to the rocks. There is far more to see in the rocks close up and far more of them. Patterns and different types of rocks, cracks and crevices. We had great fun trying to see different animal shapes. Can you find our dragon? No dogs in the Cemetery but when We were on the beach there were a few dogs running around.

Love beaches like these! We couldn’t actually get to the beach though. The road Google was telling us to go to was pretty rough and seemed sketchy so we just had a look from the cemetery
