Video City

I am a long time customer of this fine establishment and love going there.Great selection, reasonable prices,the store is clean, tidy and has free parking.Without doubt, the best part of the whole Video City New Town experience are the wonderful staff, who are polite, efficient and very helpful. Long may they continue!

Great place very sad to see that its closing down. Much prefer Video city over Netflix because they have alot more to choose from old and new.

It was good for a laugh. I think i threw out my video city card like 10 years ago. Was surprised to see two people drop off videos they borrowed whilst there.

The staff are nice and friendly and it is well stocked however their method of doing things is really complex. I have lived in many states and different countries and its always pretty similar, pick movie, pay fee then return by due date. Here you don't pay for the movies until you return them. Some prices are for one day with the cost multiplied by the amount of days, others are for a 7 day period and others you pay an initial fee for the first day plus a daily fee for 10 days when it is due back but more if overdue. It ends up pretty pricey if you don't go on a special day, and you end up paying a chunk because its unclear. I really try to support these stores but its becoming expensive and complex.

I dont know where that stupod reviewer has gotten her information from, i am a regular customer, at the Newtown store, There customer service has been outstanding, the staff are friendly, always very helpful, they have great knowledge on old, recent, as well as future movies, on a wide range of generes.I have ALWAYS recieved a receipt upon hiring movies, they do AUTOMATICALLY put them into one of the DVD covers, as well as always tell us when there would be any extra charges such as on box sets, or overdue movie titles.I wouldn't hesitate but to recommend this great store for brilliant customer service, as well as offering a great range of titles.I think people like Jennifer need to stop trying to find excuses to make them self feel better or some how justified for being a theif by stealing pirated online movies!

Terrible customer service, they don't offer you a receipt and then say that customers usually ask for a receipt. Since when is it good customer service to not automatically offer and issue receipts? Also they claim to have a policy to not tell you they're adding additional charges when they consider the videos to be overdue, even if they are not. Absolutely ridiculous, can see why people would rather pirate movies online than rent them legitimately.

Large range but limited number of each new release title. Though, if you know in advance that you want a certain title the staff will hold it for you to pick up on a specific date.

Easy to find with parking. Large range of DVDs, Blue ray and PlayStation etc. Staff very friendly and helpful. Please support them or we will lose this one too.
