Taste of Tang

A real gem, the flavours are sophisticated and every dish is very good. My personal favourite is the sweet and sour pork, so balanced and succulent, not too sweet. Love it

Taste of Tang in Oatley is the best Chinese and Malaysian restaurant you will find in Sydney, in my opinion (and yes I have been to ones in the city).They have the usual meals you find at a Chinese restaurant plus HEAPS more. I recommend trying their signature dishes. We cannot go without ordering at least one meal from that list.You can definitely tell that the quality of food is fresh and Australian. When ordering Prawn toast, you will get a thick layer of it, instead of it being thin and oily!The owner and wait staff are really nice and helpful. Everyone may have different dietary requirements (or even if they’re just fussy), and the team will happily cater for it. There are vegetarian and vegan options on the list too.We probably go here once a month and have never been disappointed. This place needs to be recognised more and I cannot recommend it enough.My favourites: Prawn mousse stuffed eggplant, Ramoo lamb with chilli and garlic, and the spicy cumin lamb backstrap (bao buns are a must with the lamb ones)!The price is most definitely worth it as it is not just your average Chinese restaurant, go see for yourself!(There’s even have a bottle-o next door if you want to BYO)

Some of the best, if not the best Chinese food going. I travel to eat here, and there are some favourites like honey chicken which are done so well that I won't order/eat else where. The biggest difference is you will get quality ingredients here that not many of the other places have.

The worst food ever. Mini spring rolls were burnt - you could only taste the burnt wrapper and oil. Prawns and snow peas were in a gelatinous pale orange sauce which had a strange flavour. Fried rice was not much better. I was so surprised based on previously posted reviews. $60 of food straight in the bin.

Best variety of Malaysian and Chinese food. So many different tasty dishes, beautifully cooked and generous portions.The staff too have always been very helpful and welcoming.

We went to Taste of Tang for the first time since moving to the area, and we weren’t disappointed! The food was tasty, the ingredients fresh and cooked perfectly- a bonus being that it also arrived quickly. The restaurant was spotless and the amenities very clean. The service was efficient and friendly, and we met the owner Phil-who was absolutely lovely and complimented us a jar of his aromatic chilli sauce, after we mentioned that we loved it. The price was a bit higher than the average Chinese restaurant- however Tang is above average- with the pricing reflecting the fresh (not frozen) Australian sourced produce- so very reasonably priced for the quality you get. Beyond happy that we came across Taste of Tang!

Honestly the best Chinese / Malaysian food around! Food is always fresh , delicious and filling. Always helpful staff and a must are the Pepper steak , crispy pork and their Laksa!Phil and the team are incredibly helpful and a great local gem.

Amazing food, great service and atmosphere! I’ll be coming back
