Mercure Gerringong Resort

We’ve just finished our second stay at the Mercure. Can’t quite understand why this place gets a bit of a bagging at times. We have always found it to be wonderful. The rooms are very spacious , And everything is spotless. We had a balcony room looking out over the beautiful mountains and out to the beach. It was tastefully Decorated with an extremely comfortable bed and a wonderful small kitchenette which is very handy. The breakfast was great. We had a meal in the restaurant which was just fabulous. It’s not huge but it fits quite a few people in and the meals are lovely. The staff are fabulous, and I noticed that there’s been quite some changes made since our last trip. The adults only pool has been fixed and is up and running as is the tennis court. There’s new outside furniture around the place. There’s workmen everywhere working in the garden and on projects on the property. So we really enjoy it and can’t wait to come back. Especially since it’s so close to other great places to visit like Berry , Shell, Cove, and Shellharbour and Geroa etc.Plus, the property is within walking distance to the beach and up a short hill to the little village of GERRINGONG .Would recommend looking at the luxury escapes website for great bargains at this place and others of course

Really enjoyed our stay.Well presented and neat rooms. Everything was clean and fresh.Even enjoy the swim in the pool.Will be back when in the area next

Room very rundown,Bathtub is all rusty,Roof is all cracked.The pool has not been cleaned in days,Restaurant and pool bar closed.Might as-well of stayed in a cabin that’s 30 years old and a bit cheaper.Will not be returning and strongly recommend you stay somewhere else.This place look’s nothing like the photos.

Our room was nice, clean, comfortable and had a nice view over the grounds and the adults poolWe swam in the main pool it was nice the pool furniture was comfyDinner in the restaurant was really really nice and do was breakfastWe loved the bottle of champagne in our room on arrival to celebrate our honeymoon. Yes we would stay again and would recommend

Really nice hotel room is excellent great bed pillows bathroom and good size.the grounds are really nice well maintained. Great swimming pools also an Adult pool Excellent service. Definitely recommend. We will definitely stay here again

Overall a solid stay. Was $450 a night (I guess expensive based on the time of year - Australia Day week!)Room was a decent size, comfy bed, had essentials.Negatives:Room service is expensive, food in general was over prices really. $20 for a small plate of chips and a non fresh apple juice.Mould on the shower walls, and screen, rust marks all in the bath, and water damaged door of the bathroom.And a distinct lack of plug sockets (2 in the main bedroom, get 2 on the bathroom haha!)For basically a premium price I expected more. Wasn’t a disaster, just a bit meh

This is a nice little Gem just off the highway perfect for the traveler or the quiet getaway Pools Day Spa and away from the busy cityStaff are friendly and helpfulRestaurant is simple with quality foodBreakfast is perfect for the start of the daySimple in room service as wellRooms large and spacious clean and comfortable.Worth the stop

Rooms where ok. Very 90s to 00s old carpet and curtains old bathroom tiling, grout and silicone. Bed was average. Not a room I would take photos of and say wow.Great location, friendly and prompt staff.

Nice location.Our room was a standard room with a king bed.Well maintained.It had a connecting door as it was part of a family room.Downside was the humming sound through out the night just outside our door .Maybe the electrical unit humming on.Breakfast was not included in the room price of 199.Did take a look at the buffet breakfast. Did not like what I saw.50 - 50 to visit again.

Lovely place to stay, warm and friendly staff, room was nice and comfortable.
