MPD Steak Kitchen Caulfield
Food was well cooked, of high quality and value for money. Unfortunately the service did not live up to the food and spoiled an otherwise good night. Firstly the staff did not know what the wine was that I ordered. They spent 20 minutes looking for the bottle and checked back twice to see if it was a red or white, despite it being clear on the wine list. In the end I ordered another variety so that we could get a drink. Already had our food before the wine was served.On completion of our mains we ordered dessert and one of our group ordered a cocktail from the drinks menu. After a short time we were told that the bar was closed so it was not available. The venue closes at 10pm and the bar was closed at 9pm???One of the waitresses was constantly looking at her watch and clearly didn’t want to be there, and the others seemed just as enthusiastic.The service ruined an otherwise good night and I probably wouldn’t bother to return. Such a shame that the staff let the business down so badly.

Absolutely loved our meal at MPD Caulfield. It was even better than their other restaurant in Berwick. The steak was cooked to perfection, it was so soft and buttery. The pumpkin was to die for. You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't order the pumpkin. Our server, Kyle, was so lovely and friendly. He has a great deal of professionalism and knows how to make customers feel welcome. Thank you for an amazing experience, we will be back.

The food was not as good as I expected for what we paid for it. Sauces were very average and steak was chewy and hard to cut through (we asked for medium rare). The sides however, were delicious and dessert was amazing!! Service was very good, our waiter could not have done any more for us.

Lovely location, nice subtle decor without being too chintzy. Service was quick and great, steaks were tasty if moderately sized, brisket was very melty, sauces were pretty good actually (mushroom and red wine). Truffle mac and cheese was a good accompaniment. Apple tarte was incredible. Overall a very enjoyable evening, perhaps a teensy overpriced for the serving size, but I've been thinking about that Apple Tarte dessert all weekend and will definitely come back

Beautiful food. Great atmosphere!We finally had the opportunity to order the beef Wellington! Perfectly cooked crispy and delicious. We ordered other dishes as well but that was the best experience.Staff were really attentive and friendly.Great location definitely feel lux.Menu options were great! Got a big of everything. Very clean and tidy. Nice ambience

Amazing Food and ServiceI am delighted to share my review of the amazing dining experience I had at this restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome from the friendly staff, who were all extremely knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations.The atmosphere was perfect, with a cozy and inviting vibe that made me feel right at home. The decor was modern and chic, with just the right amount of ambient lighting to create a relaxing and comfortable environment.Now, let's talk about the food. I ordered the Wagyu burger, and it was hands down the best burger I have ever had! The patty was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, and the bun was soft and fresh. The truffle Mac and cheese was also out of this world - the combination of the creamy cheese sauce and the earthy truffle flavor was absolutely divine.But what really made the experience memorable was the exceptional service from the waiter. He was attentive, friendly, and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. He even recommended a fantastic wine pairing that complemented my meal perfectly.Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The combination of fantastic food, great atmosphere, and amazing service makes this a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience. I will definitely be back!

Had a beautiful date night here, celebrating my sisters life on her second death anniversary, the food was beautiful and service was fantastic. Abdul was very attentive and took really good care of us, as was the other server who listened to our booking request and organised our bottle of Prosecco on arrival.

Let’s start with the service. Poor. It doesn’t matter if you just started eating meat 2 weeks ago, or yesterday. It’s your job to sell the food, this isn’t KFC. And it doesn’t matter if you’re insecure, you’re a floor staff, learn your manners. You’re not a pub, you’re an establishment. And it’s a Saturday evening, I don’t have to announce to the world, not to you at least, that I work in a financial corporate to get reasonable service. At least not at an established. At least Kisume wouldn’t require such theatrics.Next, the food. The mac & cheese was horrible, and is only made edible by the sauce. The mac is far from al dente, it’s basically just mush. The beef wellington was overdone, proof that they didn’t stick a probe in there for a done-ness check. Learn how to make one from the chef at Breslin Bar & Grill.The ribs were dry and quite frankly, bland. How someone manages to do that to ribs is beyond me. The fish & chips were just sad, even the Werribee Zoo canteen uses proper fish, ie blue granadier ot baramundi, this is just a whiting or a basa… The chips tasted like the sea.The salad was good though. And so was the old fashioned.

Came here with a voucher and for the price, I'll be back with the family! Tried the Wellington, which is always hard to pull off. A decent 7/10 from me. Will probably try a normal cut next time. Sides were good. Sauces were meh.

It was very nice service. We sat at the corner for our date night. The staff took care of the table very well, very helpful and fast when we thought the steak was too bloody. The steaks were ok. the sauce was disappointed, it was too watery. Zucchini was very nice, very flavourful. Overall was too pricey.
