Thymes Five Cafe
Visited this place for the first time and I’m really glad I did! It’s a very nice little cosy cafe tucked on a busy street. We started off with iced coffee (comes with a scoop of ice cream) and hot chocolate. For food, we got shaksuka, chicken waffles and chips. Other than the shaksuka being a little bit bland, everything else was brilliant! The spicy maple sauce that comes with the chicken waffles was to die for. Chicken was super tender and juicy, accompanied with sweet berries and icing sugar. Chips were fried perfectly.Apart from the food, service provided by the young ladies was brilliant! All in all, definitely a must-go-to place when you’re in the area.

Had a Great brunch! Coffee is awesome. We even bought a bag of their coffee beans today! Service was great as well! Will come back again! Highly recommend!

Lovely atmosphere, not too noisy so you are able to hear the people at your table. The service staff were friendly and lovely. They made sure everyone was catered for and looked after. The food was delicious and just right. Our non diary eater was well catered for and swaps made without a fuss. The chicken burger was perfect size and non greasy or fatty tasting. The beef burger was non diary with sourdough. Not heavy and just right. The ham cheese croissant was toasted just right. Can't fault the beautiful lunch we had here. Thank you

Response to owner on their reply - yes you did make a skinny coffee this morning at 8.40am, not sure why you are confused?I have receipt.Tasted like warm milk & yes I was charged $5.50.Happy to phone you if you leave your number.Also have a photo of the coffee, look familiar???————-$5.50 for a small coffee, rip off!Taste was terribleAsked for skinny & milk tasted strange.Very weak coffee with hardly any coffee taste

A newcomer to the busy Ashburton High Street - now also open for dinner!The slow cooked beef cheek and chicken Parma were a real hit. BYO wine too!Thymes Five sets a new standard for food and service. It’s first class in all fronts.The coffee is great - try the Matador blend.Salt and Pepper Calamari and the Barramundi are excellent.Highly recommended.

I've been here several times now and tried various menu items. Each one has not disappointed.The staff are friendly and attentive, the cafe is light, bright and always clean. Great range of menu options with meals cooked fresh. Would definitely recommend a visit.
