Glenelg Jetty

Many people came to this place to take picture, some to swim and others hanging around, looking at the nice blue sea. Nice sandy beach and good to go strolling along the beach. Nice to take picture here too.

Beautiful, friendly for children and special needs people. Great views all around. It’s fun to watch jetty jumping! Fishing is permitted.

It's not my favourite beach, but sometimes the view gets crazy here.

. Convenient location with transport to and from the city via tram.. There was a homeless man under the jetty last time I visited, sleeping beside his trolley full of booze.. Shade from the sun is helpful for a beach day.. Young people like to play on the jetty - good for them. They need their recreation and we want them to enjoy it.. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Good life pizza is a healthy option.. Cold rock ice creamery nearby. A popular beach, good for those with extrovert pop culture.. Surf life savers nearby with child-safe swimming zones (between the flags). Just be aware that people have been swept out to sea by a strong current and lost, when swimming near the breakwater.. Nice place for an esplanade walk, with sea-view cafes for a drink stop along the way.. First class playground and Marino restaurants.

Jetty out from the Glenelg Beach. Functional, well maintained and great for fishing etc. note the fishing line bins at the end of the jetty.Great spot for a photo!

Spectacular sunsets. Photographers and nature lovers dream spot. Plus also the dog owners and the dogs adore the place. White sands. Not too crowded too. Very close to the restaurants and hotels. Paved paths and stairs. The sunsets are so beautiful. Words or the photos will not make justice. You need to be physically in the jetty to fully experience the magical moments. Very well worth the visit. July 2022- there is also a ice skating ring in just in front of the jetty. Since I am not a local not sure if this is permanent.
