Benalla Fish & Chips

Absolutely beautiful food, I feel the minimum chips plus every $ could be more as we have had no more chips than minimum despite paying several dollars more; but despite this their food is absolutely delicious and better than any of the overpriced expensive cafe's

Everything just right with this fish & chip shop.Goldilocks experience.

The fish and calamari ain't fresh but I didn't think it would be. Quick service, and friendly staff but cash only. Also the shop isn't titled Peter's Fish and Chips but Benalla fish and chips. Serves only takeaway. This is probably the best fish and chips currently in Benalla simply because I don't think other fish and chips eateries exist here yet. If you're buying here then you'd probably want to get the special deals, it's way more worth to get the deal than to buy pieces separately. We had the $26 special with 2 fish, 2 potato cakes, 2 crab sticks, 2 dim sims, and $2chips and the calamari special pack which was $36 dollars if I remember correctly.

Would give zero stars if i could! You get a hand full of chips for $5, the potato cakes were that over cooked you couldn't bite into them. They clearly dont change the oil, and good luck understanding them!

I thought it time to give a more recent review.Very nice fish and chips and the potato cakes/scollops are good too. Good value for money. Large menu selection and drink cabinet. Always friendly staff giving service with a smile. Even when busy.It's also nice to walk into the shop and not get cigarette smell from out back, unlike the other Fish and Chip shop in town.Keep up the good service.

Have been here in the past when driving through. It used to be better, but it seems like it's changed since we last came through and not quite as good anymore. Fish is decent (not the freshest but cooked fine), burgers are fairly good (salad was fresh), chips are decent but calamari rings are horrible (reconstituted, frozen puree/mush). It did the job to fill our tummies but otherwise pretty average.

Great place for fish and chips. Staff super friendly. Best steak sandwich. Loads of chips. Will go there when next in Benalla

Not to bad burger tastey and filling

Service with a smile. The chips and fish were done nice and crisp and NOT oily like several fish and chips shops I've been to. Only takeaway. Seemed like repeat patronage from my observations. On the main road and an easy walk to nearby parks. We had a lamb kebab, a piece of Grenadier, hake and chips. Good value.

Stopped here late Saturday. Fish and chips really good. Very well cooked. Clean shop . The fish and chips did not repeat on me like they normally do. Parking was a bit tricky had to park across the road
