I ordered a reconditioned rear differential for a 2003 Toyota Hilux from Greenaways on Tuesday 20 April 2021. Troy was very knowledgeable and professional when I spoke with him over the phone about the mechanical issues with my vehicle. The pinion bearing collapsed and the pinion gear contacted the differential centre and proceeded to chip the teeth off the crown wheel.The reconditioned differential arrived in Canberra from Coffs Harbour quickly and efficiently and as promised on the afternoon of 23 April 2021.The part was as described and upon installation, the differential functioned quietly, smoothly and as expected. My vehicle was then able to be back on the road by 24 April 2021, which I considered to be a short period of downtime for this type of repair.Overall I would rate my experience with Greenaway's as 10 out of 10 and would recommend them to my friends and colleagues.

After my bt50 gear box failed prematurely with no help from Mazda, it was nothing but professional and prompt service from Greenaways Gearboxes.They bent over backwards to get my Ute back on the road, I made the phone call to them at 12 midday and had the gearbox delivered that day t 430. Thanks boys, I hope I don't have to do this again but I know who ill be calling if I do. 110% from them.

Such a disaster! These cowboys rebuilt my hiace gearbox 45,000 kms ago. Yep 45,000 ks of slow campervan travel and the clunking started. Greenways sent a replacement box....wrong one...so my mechanic pulled our box out and greenways 'reconditioned' it. on refitting no reverse gear, so box pulled out again....second reinstall and no synchro so third time lucky. Gearbox is now working but they have tried to blame the pathetically bad work on our driving...like you can race an 83 hiace camper! Charged full price just to add salt to the wound. If you can find a second-hand gearbox i strongly recommend it as a safer alternative to this mob.....and to follow up. it was 2016 that the previous gearbox work was carried out....not 7 years ago. Also yes the previous had run dry but that doesn't explain a $3,000 recon only lasting 45,000 kms. I was told these are simply poor boxes but makes me winder why the original would ladt 450,000 kms and a recon lasted 45,000.So to summarise: totally and admissibly through my own fault, the gearbox ran dry with 450,000 kms on the odo of my 1983 Hiace.I happily paid over $3,000 to Greenaways to professionally rebuild this. Having this experience i have been VERY cautious with driving and gear oil maintenance. This is a campervan driven by a couple in their sixties. However after only 45,000 kms the gearbox needed major rebuild again!!Greenaways charged $2,000 for this second rebuild no admission of error. Instead they blamed 1. the gearbox is too small for the car (how did the original last 450,000?). 2. driver error (i have been extremely cautious with this box since paying for rebuild). 3. in response to this review they say it was due to the gearbox running dry!! YES it did, which is why i for rebuild 6 years ago..so this is an admission that the work carried out then was faulty.Next stop Office of Fair Trading.Have a great day

Highly recommend this business to anyone! Greenaways were so helpful to me when I blew my gearbox on the M1. Very next day they had my car in the shop and working tirelessly on it until the job was done due to me being on holidays and they wanted to get me back on the road ASAP. Not only that, they were very informative of the job and educated me on my car! Appreciate the help! hands down great people.

10/10 highly reccomend. My car has never felt smoother changing gears.The gearbox of my 2010 Nissan Navara broke in Coffs Harbour whilst driving from Melbourne to Queenand.Luckily, I was referred to Steve at Greenaways by another mechanic, as they are specialists in transmissions (the other mechanics I called prior were booked out for days to weeks).Steve and his crew went out of their way for me and worked after hours to replace my gear box (one of the only stockists in Aus) and helped get my car back on the road by early morning the next day! (They were booked out for weeks)Extremely professional and friendly staff. One of the new guys even gave me a lift to the motel I had to stay at!Thank you to all at Greenaway! Absolute legends
