It was the WORST funeral experience ever. They set out a minimum amount of chairs for the funeral. There wasn't even enough chairs for immediate family to sit at there own family members funeral. When it came time for the woman staff member who worked at the funeral home to turn on the video during the eulogy, she just barged past everybody rudely bumping them out the way to get close enough for the remote to start the video/dvd player. (no excuse me or apology or anything) These were immediate family members of the deceased she so rudely barged passed bumping out the way, who were standing because there weren't enough seats. She didn't look happy everyone was in the way and she defiantly looked like she did not want to be there. And to make it worse, everyone was having a chat in another room after the funeral and a number of people walked outside then back in again and were so surprised to see 3 of the funeral home staff standing there sniggering as if they were telling each other jokes or as if they seen something amusing. Never again will we ever have a funeral here. For a day that was meant to be so special felt like we all were just in the way on there premises.

Purslowe and Chipper were absolutely wonderful organising my husband’s funeral, Alastair went above and beyond to make sure he had a great send off, all the staff were very helpful and Kevin, our celebrant did an amazing job, the professionalism of Purslowe and Chipper was excellent and will definitely recommend them

The funeral service for a close friend was a disaster. Immediate family overseas were looking forward to the streaming of the event. Imagine our consternation when we found that there was no sound during all but the opening hymn. The staff member suggested that the fault was a sound file that had been supplied by the family. There were a number of IT people involved in this service who categorically denied that this could be the case. The Powerpoint presentation on the life of the deceased was started and stopped and started again, also without sound. It took 10 minutes for the 100 attendees who place sprigs on the coffin because a staff member, instead of standing at the front with the rosemary, went down the aisle and handed out the sprigs individually. Very poor organisation.At the conclusion, when the coffin was wheeled outside, the congregation was left standing for minutes because there was no direction given to move.The overall impression was that the staff member didn't know how to fully operate the AV equipment. She spent much of the service on her mobile phone possibly seeking assistance.All in all a very poor performance by Purslowe and Chipper and extremely distressing for the family.

Purslowe and Chipper (Midland) were our funeral home of choice and we are glad that we went with them for our Mothers funeral. Their compassion and understanding was very much appreciated and their attention to detail made everything run smoothly. Thank you Alistair and team for a job well done.

Mum always said she wanted to be buried by Purslowe's - because they make you look good - and she did. This was the first funeral I had to organise and the staff at Purslowe's guided us, followed up, and reminded us of deadlines. All fees were advised upfront, and we were allowed to conduct the service exactly as we wanted. What a great farewell for an exemplary lady.
