Hands down the worst gym I’ve ever been to, inexperienced and dishonest staff everywhere just to get a sale out of you as they are paid off commission. Been trying to cancel my membership for 5 weeks, they broke contract and would not honour that they did and let me out of my contract. I had to pay $500 to get out of my membership, the most greedy and unethical business I’ve ever dealt with.Do not sign up to this place, will be the biggest regret you ever have.Lied to me about certain things when I signed up just to get me to join; then once I was in there found out all of the lies for myself. Management that I have dealt with also through email have been useless in wanting to help the situation, just ask for more and more money. DODGY TERRIBLE BUSINESS, don’t know how you haven’t been sued for your terrible ways of doing business.

I really value Next Gen gym for offering me the kinds of activities that I need to keep fit and healthy. There is plenty of choice for classes, or I can go in my own time to use the equipment or pool. Highly recommended.

i found a feather on my pumpkin wrap, people need to be aware of next gens food quality. they also tend to use expired spinach on their food. but a feather is too much. the food is also here is also over priced like anything else. this breaches food and health safety regulations. how does feather end up in a vegetarian wrap.

I am currently in the process of finding myself a new gym. I went in yesterday afternoon at around 1730h. I asked the young lady at the counter if I could have a single work out to see if the equipment and atmosphere was what I was looking for. She responded by saying we don't do that. She than informed me that it was going to cost me $37 for a day pass. It was after 5pm, I only wanted to test out the gym facilities as that is what I am interested in. I asked if she was willing to lose a potential member by not allowing me in for the sake of one session and her response was yes, we don't do free passes. I thanked her for her time and left. I was never rude, to her credit neither was she but at no stage did she ask me who I was or to maybe get the manager and discuss if they could waiver the fee or even offer to show me around. I am sorry but I am not paying $37 for a single session. I went straight to ANU where they offered a 7 day pass without hesitation. I guess Next Gen Canberra doesn't need the money.

I have only had good experiences attending this gym. I love that it caters to mature aged members with great variety in classes and excellent instructors who are very helpful. The gym maintains a great level of cleanliness.Through a booking I was given a tour of all the facilities and offered a discount on membership as a health care

Ridiculously overpriced. Staff wouldn’t allow me to come and test the facilities as they are ‘members only’ and would need to pay $60 for a 1 day trial. Was rudely told it’s not a gym, it’s a ‘lifestyle’ centre. Also didn’t give transparent pricing. Staff were less than helpful.

This gym is suuuuuper dodgy. For example, it is extremely vague in the contract about how much you'll be charged if you terminate your contract early. When we queried this, the sales person said that it's up to the discretion of management depending on your reason. We weren't happy signing a contract on that basis, so we asked for more clarity and the sales person said it was really complex and she'd have to ask her manager. Finally the manager came over and drew us a diagram of how it 'might' work if we wanted to cancel early. But she wouldn't let us take that piece of paper with us, or add those details to the contract. We decided to just sign up for 3 months because of this, feeling confident we wouldn't need to cancel within 3 months. However, we did have to cancel - and lo and behold 'the discretion' no longer existed, they would not let us speak to the manager or anyone, or return our emails. Aside from a lovely one about 'sending debt collectors' if we refuse to pay. They just continued to direct debit. Just as other reviews have said. This place is the literal worst. Once you tell anyone this side of Canberra about Nextgen, everyone has a story!

HelloI have bad experiences with Next Gen Canberra with Dom and Rachel at 4:30pm on 21th of Jun.I am a Gold Member of here and my boys have swimming lesson since last yearEvery single time a reception person has provided a towel towards my kids Without any hesitationToday my husband brought kids to swimming class and he expected getting a towel as a normal. However the new reception lady(Rachel) refused towels to my kids because my kids are not Gold member.(they are under me, that’s why they can join a swimming lesson)My husband and I are not happy with that because almost 1year we have provided towels and Even I did not request to reception, I have seen other kids also got a towel without membership.I totally understand the rules are rules.Suddenly Dom has changed attitude and on her side also he noticed that all other staff are doing wrong thing including him because he also provide a towel to my kids.(If he think so the next gen must announce and notice to Notice board before my boys has got bad experience)Also he mention that he won’t provide any towels to not a gold membership kids and putting a notice at reception. If it’s not I feel Ike a discrimination against our kids and family. We just expected Next Gen having same service as before(it was more fixable)I am very satisfied with Next Gen and all staffsI thought they are very professionalI hope Next Gen provide a service equally to everyone.I feel like it has changed depend on person.A long time back My client(with Autism) and me received racism and taunt from cafe staff.(She copied my pronunciation and repeated and laughing behind me with her colleague)while I explained to your senior manager, my client neglected. Because he repeated same question even he did not try solve the problem. He always on her side, no listening me carefully.I felt Today Dom and my conversation was totally same above that.My family and me would like to use this membership forever. Please help me.ThanksNamhee lee.

Expensive unless you use all facilities every day. Cleanliness varies more attention to shower hygiene would be good. Pool can be crowded most days and the sauna and spa are not always working. More supervision of pool would be wise.
