Heyne's Garden Centre

Fantastic selection of plants, huge range of indoor & decorative, shrubs, hedges, natives, fruit trees, bulbs, annuals, instant colour here, fragrant smells over there, loads of arts & crafts & without a doubt one of the best, if not the best collections of Cactii & Succulents in Adelaide, everytime I pop in, which is at least every 3 to 4 weeks there seems to be all new stock & all new displays, the staff here have all been helpful to me at some stage & have yet to have a bad customer service experience, which is quite surprising due to the area that it's in & especially some of the elderly customers it seems to attract that all seem to have extra attitude on the eastern side of town, enough for any retail worker to change moods instantly, but it seems all the staff here at Heynes seem to keep there cool at the best of times, kudos to the staff members.Heynes is a tucked away, hidden gem of the eastern suburbs, there's a good reason that this garden centre has been at the same location in the same family since 1928. Do yourself a favour, clear your afternoon & explore this fantastic garden centre asap

Love it when we are able to visit. Helpful staff, good variety of stock and plants of a good quality. Did email to ask if the do gift vouchers, NO RESPONSE. That was disappointing

Very poor service ,unfriendly and always feel like I’m putting them out asking for help or advice . Desperately in need of some major customer service training . I had to help a lady get the bags of soil in her car as no one offered to help her. Let’s hope that if they read this honest review , ( not the first bad review regarding their customer service that I can see) that some changes will be made . It’s my closest Garden Centre so will only shop here if I’m desperate.

Very cute centre, staff were nice. Very pricey though

sad that the service levels have fallen so very low. The fish rots from the head an I sense low morale amongst the staff plus a few staff who are arrogant - would they perhaps be the owners or just poorly chosen staff in the shop area? There are LEADERSIP issues that scream that this once lovely garden centre is now in serious decline. The atrocious web site is useless. I think they are out of touch with how much potential customers in nearby suburbs ARE spending elsewhere, due to other small plant outlets with a wider range of plants that people want to buy, and, due to staff elsewhere with a better knowledge re plants and plant requirements , and due to FAR better and friendlier helpful good service elsewhere. After every visit I always leave more disappointed than the previous visit.Why can the management NOT recognise their inadequacies and their we CAN'T" attitude that looks like a mix of laziness combined with arrogance and incompetence"

What are Ranger plants there are here you're definitely find what you're looking for you do need some time to make sure you do wander around the whole venue because there is certainly a lot to see also make sure you going to the greenhouses because there's even more

Went looking for a plant as a gift and we were thrilled to check out the variety. However, that was short lived because the customer service was poor. They ignored us and when we eventually caught their attention, they seemed annoyed especially the older lady who was abrupt and actually very rough with the plant. You can keep your dried plants and disgusting customer service. Ciao!

Healthy and established huge variety of plants. Their indoor shop was great too. I purchased a few modern pots from there.
