Novotel Sydney Parramatta

Affordable, comfy and clean rooms however on a hot Saturday evening the air conditioning would not go below 24 degrees. We were moved to arguably a better laid out room after coming back from night out with apologies from the front desk after contacting them twice about the issue. Air con wouldn't go bellow 22.8 this time but we didn't want to move again and it was comfortable enough.

Had breakfast this morning with 2 friends. Fantastic experience. Katie did a great job in welcoming us, explaining the offerings, arranging for our omelettes etc. I noted Katie worked very hard with all aspects of the breakfast experience.

Disappointed with the corporate suite we were assigned. Old room, dodgy floor electrical boxes, damp carpet smell, and a corporate boardroom table that was unusable. We requested a new room which was accommodated but no urgency was placed in moving us around. The hotel room itself was clean and ok, but again, showing its age. Breakfast was very ordinary, with a limited selection. We will be using a different facility moving forward for our corporate meetings.

My credit card was charged for an extra room when questioned about it. I was told someone had booked a room under my Accor number at the counter. I asked the staff to go and check who was in the room and the result was no one had stayed in the room. This was back in may several phone calls made with the same lame response. Cannot see me getting any of that money back

Very average... will NEVER stay there again. Room cleaners average at best,bathroom left in a filthy state, person at front counter wasn't concerned when we told him about our concerns. Never again... never!!!

The hotel was a bit run down, certainly needs a fresh coat of paint and some maintenance work. The cleanliness of the bed was a bit of a concern when there were other people's hair on the bed. The staff were helpful and efficient though.

I want to start first off by pointing out that all the staff members I spoke to, from front desk to housekeeping, were absolutely lovely, and all too willing to help.Having said that I probably wouldn't stay here again. The room we were in just needed far too much work for the price we paid per night.We stayed 3 nights and I started off by noticing that the shower grout, seals and ceiling was incredibly mouldy on our first night, so I planned on letting the front desk know in the morning so housekeeping could pay particular attention to it. However that night it also started raining and became apparent that the roof was leaking a considerable amount. We were able to divert the water to the wall so that the dripping didn't keep us awake all night, but the carpets were drenched in the morning.I spoke to front desk and they did offer to move us, but I said not to worry about it, as I didn't think there was much more rain forecast, and I figured they could take care of the mouldy shower and the wet carpet that day. I also ran into housekeeping in our room during the day and pointed out the mould in the shower and she was happy to deal with it. At another point during the day maintenance had set up a blower to dry the carpet. Luckily we weren't spending much time in the room this day so it wasn't an inconvenience.So, yes the staff took care of all my complaints quickly and efficiently. However this particular room needs so much more work. While the shower did get *most* of the mould removed, it was still a really dirty shower that needs a really good deep clean, or an entire overhaul all together. The tiles at the bottom were incredibly discoloured, the glass was all cloudy, the silicon on the edges was still very mouldy and there are several patched holes that just really don't look good in a hotel at this price point.In addition to all that, there were still pockets of water in the ceiling, causing the paint to bubble and split, letting more water into the room.Like I mentioned, I can't fault the staff at all, but for the price we paid to stay here (over $300 a night with parking) this sort of stuff just isn't acceptable.

Excellent staff who were extremely welcoming. Good spot too with plenty of places to grab a bite to eat. The room was very clean, comfortable and cosy. Will come back!

I am staying at the Novotel for one night on business, and I wouldn't stay again.The rooms are run down, the bathroom needs renovating and the shower was too low, absolutely nothing in the mini bar, no drinking water available, the carpet in the room I wouldn't let my dog sleep on, liquid soap in the bathroom and overall looks outdated and run down.Overall rubbish for what they are charging wouldn't recommend this hotel at all. I expected better from a Novotel!I have stayed in cheaper hotels that are 100% better than this one.

Central to everything, rooms modern and updated, can hear some street noise in the room at night. the desk in the room was great for work. The service offered matched the price paid. No complaints . Customer service was excellent.
