Elfin Hill Tourist Accommodation within the Hunter Valley Vineyards

Beautiful location. Room was lovely and clean. Comfy Beds. The hot water was readily available at 9.30am. I loved everything. The next morning I enjoyed having eggs on toast with salad on the verandah overlooking the hills, gum trees and the birds. I will be returning very soon. Thanks so much for having me. Your Hospitality by you and the cleaners were outstanding.

This little BnB is packed with relaxing homely personality. Each rooms overlooks a gorgeous serene mountainous view. You can choose to have breakfast in your room on the little patio or in the common room pavilion (on the pavilion patio in summer would be beautiful!). Marie and Mark are amazing hosts to this wonderful little getaway. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. A wonderful little getaway location amongst the many surrounding vineyards.

I stayed in the Hermitage room at Elfin Hill for a month while working harvest and doing research in the Hunter Valley. The hosts, Mark and Marie, are some of the kindest and most caring people I have ever met. Their values of making guests feel at home and being as environmentally friendly as possible shone through in the meticulously maintained garden, the endless birdsong, and their warm and welcoming services. It's not every day that you come across an almost self-sustaining home away from home!What I loved most about staying at Elfin Hill:1. The lovely hotel cats, Rosie and Isabel2. The common dining area with a great view!3. The swimming pool that runs entirely on UV-filtered rainwater.

This is a small family run accommodation business in a lovely quiet setting not far from everything in Pokolbin. Our room was recently renovated and was very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed eating breakfast on our verandah overlooking the garden and countryside. The bed was comfortable and there was lots of hot water for showering. The room was not large but we had access to a large general lounge that was filled with comfortable chairs with access to hot drinks. The proprietors are very friendly and able to help with information about the area.

It was a beautiful experience, with such a lovely couple hosting the place, with so much love and care. It feels like home, with all the facilities provided to your needs. Just a place to sit, relax and enjoy, to get rid of your worries... Beautiful, serene, calm...

Poor communication, unexplained charges after the stay and overpriced to begin with. Would certainly NOT recommend to anyone. If you can’t be bright, at least be polite.

My wife and I had a fantastic time at this place. Beautiful property, really nice room, and overall great attention to detail. Marie was really friendly and warm.

Hi Mark and Marie,My wife and I started having R&R at Elfin Hill before the road to it was even paved almost 50 years ago. Reg and Helen, the owners at that time became much, much more than hosts. Became our friends, a friendship that lasted even after they retired and left the Hunter.Wonderful place you have there in a gorgeous spot. We have now been living in Europe, in Vienna, for 20 years, but will never forget Elfin Hill. To Marie & Mark,After driving up from Melbourne for a wedding, to arrive and actually see the property was very invitingThe loft was fantastic.Your attention to us and other guests was amazing and your property and amenities and breakfasts is a credit to you both. Nothing was too much trouble.Your friendly smiles and chats each day made us feel at home and able to totally unwind.We hope you get many more visitors and have a full calendar.Your thoughtfulness and care to all with the wild Saturday night storm taking out the power and water and Mark meeting us at the carpark at 11pm with torches to help us in the dark safely and supplying torches for the room and you bringing fresh chilled water was just another little edge over other places we have stayed and showed you care about your guests.Wonderful experienceA credit to you both being a family run business was just refreshing.The views, birds and wildlife from the decks was just so calming and relaxing.Well done to you bothBest WishesIan & Jane

Elfin Hill is THE place to stay when you’re visiting Hunter Valley or if you just want a relaxing weekend out of Sydney.Looking for a relaxing, peaceful weekend? In a bed and breakfast nestled in a beautiful wooded hollow with the best morning and evening views? All the creature comforts you want? And of course homemade breakfasts?Yep, this is the place then. We had such a wonderful time and I hope I can go back soon.
