Called during a ‘not usually busy’ time slot to enquire about pet meat.Was told ‘no but we have chicken frames with offal.’ I asked how much it was, was told ‘it’s in one kilo bundles, and sold for (verry muffled price) per kilo, I began asking if he had said $4 per kilo when I was interrupted half way through with a rude rushed tone saying ‘I’ve got to go, I’ve got a shop full’….If you can’t serve all customers wether on the phone or in person, either removed your phone number, hire more staff or find a person who can multitask in a professional and respectful manner. I was extremely taken back by the tone and reply received. It was the 3rd place I had called regarding pet meat in bulk quantities in which would be purchased monthly and wanted to support smaller businesses.

Over the new year my wife and I were doing a road trip from Melbourne to the Hunter Valley stopping at various towns along the way doing road side cook ups for meals . I googled butchers in Albury and was directed to the Jones street butchery . We purchase there home made bacon thick sliced , lamb cutlets and scotch fillet stakes . The bacon was superb , lamb cutlets great but the scotch fillet steaks were superb I have never tasted more tender and flavoursome steaks in my life . I wish there was butcher like this in Melbourne . The meat was of the highest quality and negligibly dearer than the supermarkets . Would recommend to anyone

Really good meat , very high quality

High end butchery. Very good quality meats. If you are a cook/aspiring chef and need particular cuts or styles of meat this place is great. It is not cheap but is what you would expect for high quality meat. Staff are always willing to help with whatever obscure request you may have and very friendly as well.

A very busy local butchery with top quality meat and helpful and friendly staff. The bacon is smoked in house and sliced ar required. The sausages are 1st class and very tasty. All the cuts of meat were terrific and judging by the popularity of the store I am not the only customer who has this opinion. The meat on offer was certainly not expensive compared to other stores in town. I will definitely be back.
