Camping is OK, protected by dunes so not too windy but lots of flies. Beach is rocky, generally not great for swimming.

Fairly windy as expected on coast. Great rock pools when tide is out. Can walk along beach for kms. Drop toilet facilities.

I loved it except not the best time I went there. It's 42° and flies are plenty. I can imagine it on winter and spring, would be a great spot to try on those times.

Nice quiet campground, very minimal facilities as to be expected at a bush camp.Council's gouging of $20 a night is rude and as they provide nothing but a toilet should be revised.

Great place!! #1 Very basic, there is a pit toilet and no water. Bring your own TP!!!!! I really like this camping area, the sites are good you could take a trailer pretty easy, the road getting there is very good, almost better than the highway. The whole campground is just on the other side of the dune from the ocean. I would come back here no issues!!!. When the tide is oit there is some rock pools you can look at. You can fish of you want. Swim if the weather is good. Spent 4 days here, mid june and the weather held out, want to come back when it warms up more also. Still had a great time!!!!!You can also access the next campground on a track the is at the south end of the camp, that one has NO Toilet!! It has a bit more scrub for a wind break.

Great little off track spot. No lights so make sure you bring some. Toilet is a long drop style. Quite clean kept but take your own toilet paper. The night sky is amazing as there is no lighting you can see the milky way.

A lovely spot to get away. One compostable toilet. Take your own light at night because there's no lighting in the toilet. That's it as far as amenities go, but that's okay. There aren't any 'sites' as such, it's first come first served, set up wherever you want off the main track. Suggest bringing your longest tent pegs, or better still, long screw in pegs as the first 10-15cm is loose sand in some sites. The beach (just over the dunes from the camp spots) has large sections of sand interspersed with jagged edge rocks and seaweed. Limited tidal activity means you can wade waist deep for a 100 metres or more or site in the shallows with a drink or three!

Certainly peaceful. Nestled behind sandhills, the sea breeze is reduced to a pleasant ambience. A 3 minute walk sees you on a reasonably wide sandy beach which stretches for kilometres. Ample space per camping site with toilets available. Bush Camp" with lasting impact...."
