I got there at 11:00 PM, the gates were closed couldn't find anywhere to camp or do anything.

It’s all fire trail but had some stunning views of the Hawkesbury River along the way. Could actually be good for mountain biking although some parts are very steep so you’d be hard pushed to make it up or down those bits safely.

Not really a trail. Just a maintenance road for oil, gas and electricity lines.Almost no views, no wildlife, no creek untill the very end.

Canoelands Ridge Trail is definitely in need of some TLC, the views are spectacular but don't take your eyes off the trail while taking them in. Most trail are wide as they are for gas and power maintenance vehicle. There are some steep section and loose sands. No fresh water is available on this track

Canoelands Ridge Trail (Start)
This trail is approximately 18 Km return. It provides good views of the river and there are plenty of native plant species to admire along the way. Canoelands Ridge is an undulating fire trail so prepare for lots of short, steep climbs and decents. Recent weather conditions have also degraded the track so it is muddy or eroded in places. Wear decent hiking shoes and take sufficient water. There are only about 5 car spaces at the start of the trail, so try to carpool to the entrance if walking in groups.
