Just Awful. Will never go back here.Made all sorts of guarantees upon booking then when I drop the car offduhhh

I have been taking my cars in for regular services to Winmalee car care for many years. Firstly with a Mitsubishi Lancer and now with a Toyota Corolla Levin. I have always found Will and his staff to be courteous and professional and have never been overcharged for services given. Being a single female, it’s not always possible to find a trustworthy mechanic but I have always felt secure in the knowledge that Will and his team are approachable and experienced to enable my car concerns to be resolved.

SCAM WARNINGTook my car hear after it didnt start in Springwood, the NRMA told me it was possibly a broken fuse.Told the owner this in a phone call and asked to check it out and get a quote to fix it.I didn't authorise any work, I just wanted a quote. This is were things got scamming.He told me he got the car working but it needs a new part, not the fuse but the distributor. Having just had the distributor replaced at another mechanic I told him it might be under warranty and I'd have the other mechanic look at it. Upon hearing this he back flipped and said the car didnt start and was at risk of setting on fire if I tried to start it... ??AND even though he had not provided a quote to fix this part yet, I owed him 100 dollars for the diagnosis-- as apparently it took this mechanic over an hour to find the distributor wasn't functional... he was also very rude on the phone after finding out someone else would look at it. Ultimately he refused to give me the keys back for the car so I had to use my spare set and get it towed again.The mechanic I took it to has since told me the car's distributor is FINE and was just disconnected but was sitting like it was plugged in so it looked as if it wasn't working. He also told me he can't imagine why someone would say it was at risk of fire.I've been driving it around since then after having it re-registered at the second mechanic and it works great, starts perfectly every time. (so the part was fine the whole time)Obviously I refused to pay Winmalee car care for their diagnosis" as it was completely false and a utter money grab and I never even received the quote.( as they didn't bother writing it up as they knew I'd discover the part was fine).So to top it all off

The owner is rude and the customer service poor. They behave as if they don’t care about your business. Ok, no problem, I’ll vote with my feet. It’s a shame, because it’s the only motor repair in Winmalee, but I would would prefer to go further than deal with those guys. Customer service is a widespread problem in Australia, unfortunately, and the men in this business are typical.

Winmalee car care is honest and knowledgable.Wouldn’t take my car to anyone elseAlways service my car with Wil and Lachlan and have never had a major problem with it in the 9 years I’ve owned it.

One staff member are rude & dismissive. Put my car in for a service, smelt petrol leaking afterwards & called them. They couldn’t fit me in to see what was wrong, told me to bring my car in but couldn’t guarantee they’d get to it for a week. Took my car to another mechanic & the petrol filter wasn’t replaced properly. I’d been leaking petrol for 2 weeks. I’ll never use them again

The mechanic diagnosed and fixed the problem in 10 mins. He then made a joke that I don't know enough about cars to understand, which assured me that the fix was done correctly. If you read this mechanic I'm sure your joke was quite funny, my apologies for not getting it. Good service.

Had my Holden LS Engine and gearbox reconditioned here by Willem and Lachlan. Professional fast and friendly service with a great price. Thanks again guys .

Hi we had an issue with our spare little car Holden Barina. My wife called the NRMA and they could not resolve the issue. We had the car serviced about 1100 km ago at Winmalee Car Care. The NRMA Provided towing to Winmalee Car Care. This was on Wednesday night. The owner stayed back to receive the car. It was not booked in and Will the owner said no problems he will sort it out. We received a message next mid morning the little car all sorted, Will explained that the issue was moisture in a connection. We were very happy with the service and the result. I have never had an issue dealing with this provider and would highly recommend his as a local business. We were very happy with his service and empathy. Greg & Fiona Yellow Rock

Have had good advice and work done on my HSV GTS Will knows LS engines very well and gives good advice on improvements.
