Sheany Park Performance Horse Centre

My daughter and I have been with Sheany Park for 15 years, with Hannah competing successfully at eventing and dressage .Emily has been a fantastic instructor to my daughter, and sometimes myself.Emily is an extremely knowledgeableInstructor and has continually gone out of her way to help us when ever we need it.Sheany Park is the perfect place to learn to ride or improve your riding. The school horses are all lovely and look after their riders. As an eventer Emily makes the lessons fun, covering dressage, show jumping, and x country.The people at Sheany Park are all lovely , almost like a second family. Help and support is always there if needed, and there are always plenty of laughs to be had.If you are looking for Agistment or instruction, I cannot recommend Emily and Sheany Park enough.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!We happened upon this place a couple of years ago when my eldest daughter (who is on the Autism Spectrum) showed an interest in riding horses (beyond the ‘Equine Therapy’ she was already doing).I could never have predicted how that phone call could have changed our lives.We had never done anything ‘mainstream’ with my daughter before but the lack of judgement and acceptance of my daughters needs blew us away.As my daughter began her weekly lessons, I got to know some of the ’agisters’ at the farm and chatted to them about always having dreamed of owning my own horse and riding again (myself). With their support and encouragement that ‘it’s never too late’ I also began taking lessons and leasing a horse for ME!Not only does my daughter still ride (and attend mainstream Pony Club and comps on her OWN horse!) but...I also OWN a horse of my own and am learning soooo much from my weekly lessons with the most amazing coach Emily Kendall.Annnnd....we have just purchased a pony for my six year old daughter!As total, inexperienced to the ‘horse world’ people, we continue to need the support and advice of those more ‘horsey’ than us and the amazing people at Sheany Park are ALWAYS happy and willing to give that. I cannot imagine another place that could ever have made this happen. Thankyou Sheany Park.

Excellent choice for agistment. Sheany Park have provided post surgery stabled care of my convalescingmare as well regular holiday agistment for my thoroughbreds when I travel overseas. Highly recommended!

I have been getting regular lessons with Emily at Sheany Park after 20 years away from riding. Not only have I grown in confidence and fallen in love with riding again but I have also have made incredible friends for life!

When I was looking for local riding lessons my cousin recommended Emily at Sheany Park. I have been doing lessons with her for nearly three years. I thought I was a capable rider after horse riding for many years, but I soon realised after having lessons with Emily I only was ever taught the basics of riding. Emily has a calm and encouraging approach to her coaching, she teaches you the correct techniques of riding to ensure the safety of both yourself and the horse. I have used her beautiful school horses, which have always been safe and adapt to the level of the rider, as well as bringing my own horse to have lessons on. She has helped me develop my confidence and skills with dealing with my own challenging horse. I would highly recommend Emily at Sheany Park. The environment is always welcoming, her prices are very reasonable and you always come away thinking what a great lesson you have had.

My 6 year old daughter has been having lessons with Emily for over 2 years now. Her confidence has improved with every lesson and she leaves after most lessons telling me that it has been the best day ever. I have also been having lessons with Emily for around 12 month. Emily is extremely professional and positive. I love my time out at Sheany Park and highly recommend.

I’ve been at Sheany Park since early 2019 and currently keep two horses there, one bred by Emily herself.Emily is really knowledgeable and takes great care of all of the horses - as though they are her own.There is a really fun, supportive group of riders here, all willing to lend a helping hand when things go wrong and celebrate when things go well!

Two of my children have recently started having lessons at Sheany park. I have to say I am impressed with how well the instructor adapts to different levels of riders. Emily knows when push and when to praise, she has my 13yo jumping her pony showjunping rounds I never thought I would see and my 6yo learning to ride with an idependant seat! To top it off all the agisters at SP are also so welcoming you feel right at home from the moment you drive through the gates.Well done Sheany park at running such a professional service.

Emily is a very talented rider and trainer. I have had lessons with her for the last 8 years and I agist my horses with her too. Her love and passion for animals is at the forefront of her training methods. She is firm but fair and always encouraging. Sheany Park has a fantastic culture and all agistees are always willing to help. I can not recommend her enough!

I have been at SP with Emily for 10 months. I own a green broke 3 year old warmblood and wanted someone who could help me bring her on slowly and give us both confidence in working together (first picture is when she first arrived from breakers and bottom picture is 3 months of being in Em's care). I have been super impressed with Emily's professionalism and horse knowledge. She has brought her on beautifully; she is calm, content and has a great work ethic that is all from Emily's patience and relaxed nature, instilling in her a confidence and love of being worked. Also as a full-time worker, having someone who helps with appointments such as farrier, vet, bodywork just to name a few gives me peace of mind that my baby girl is being looked after (even better than I could!) and she has found her place (as have I!!!)
