An Honest ReviewWe really enjoyed our stay at Kaloha. It is perfectly situated on the beach and a short walk to the main street of Cowes. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were a little disappointed upon our arrival due to the lack of Jumping Pillow. The Kaloha website and their signage clearly advertises a Jumping Pillow. However, it had been dismantled due to issues with public liability insurance. The family apartment was comfortable. However, the bathroom had an open shower with a curtain. No matter what we did, the whole bathroom flooded when taking a shower. The curtain also liked to get a little too close for comfort. The amenities were clean and the showers had great pressure. They are in their original condition and it was like stepping back into the 70/80s!The children's playground was hardly a playground! There is one baby swing and a single small slide/tower. Luckily, there is a larger playground at the beach. There were BBQs right outside our apartment. This was handy but we did have to rustle up 20c pieces to pay for their use.The swimming pool was a highlight. The kids loved it and we enjoyed lounging by the side. The spa wasn't warm though and if you press the button for bubbles, be prepared for about 20min of bubbles! We would be happy to return but now know what to expect.

The rooms were clean and tidy.Basic essentials so pack cereal bowls and spoons. A stones throw away from the beach so that was lovely to walk along and the staff were very kind and polite.

Perfect location. Close to everything, great facilities and clean bbqs, only negative was the pool was quite dirty and had a smell. Other guests also complained of a smell near the deep end. Filter may need a change. My son's pull up slightly leaked in the night and we called the reception the next day to let them know and the lady asked me to meet her down in the cleaning room grab some sheets go back up, air the mattress and make the bed myself then go back down and return the sheets to the washing area. She insisted, making sure you air the mattress. I explained it was only a little leak, but I didn't mind doing this. When we moved the bed out to air the mattress there was all dust and grime on the back of the beds. Not something you want your guest to see. The next day we were sitting on our balcony and we saw a cleaner fully cleaning another guests room, for her while her and her children sat outside on the balcony relaxing and waited for the cleaner to finish. Vacuuming, making beds, emptying bins. It would have been nice if they offered to assist all guests the same, especially with accidents and making up beds.

23-24 April 2023. Dirtiest place we have ever stayed at! All around the room is screamingly filthy!! The pillow covers and the bed covers are full of small hairs. Looks like it never gets changed from the previous occupants. The carpet is incredibly old and dirty so as the chairs around the dinning table has hairs. The walls and curtains has yucky stains everywhere. The spa has black build ups around the jets. Even the curtain in the bathroom has slimy brown build ups. When you open the bathroom, bad smells comes out of it like worser than public toilets. The pool" outside is bloody brownish-greenish dirty! Worsest place! Beds are so uncomfortable and itchy! We practically have to use t-shirts to cover the pillows so atleast we can lie on it. We check-in at night and paid $300 per night and this place is non-refundable aswell! I don't know how this place still operates with this unhygenic condition! Took some photos to upload here but there's no option for it! This place deserves ZERO"

Good place to stay, couple and 1 child, we had a 2 bedroom family room. The room itself was spacious and clean. The location was excellent with back entrance on to the beach path. The park itself is dated and in need of a bit of a revamp. The kids jumping pillow was removed and the playground is extremely basic, so not a lot to do at the actual place. Check in and out process was contactless using sms and codes.

We stayed in one of the cabins with beach access. They are old and poorly maintained. The whole hotel and surrounding cabins are in desperate need of upgrades. The jumping pillow was deflated, the kids playground is very worn and tired looking, the spa and pool are overdue for refurb, the fence to the spa is loose and probably wouldn't pass a compliance check, the shower head is so low it's really awkward to use, mould on the curtains, a curtain that doesn't fit the length of the window. Curtains kept falling down from the rods during the night. When we got there I lifted the mattress to make the bunk bed and there was a dirty sock there. Obviously no deep cleans happening. On the plus side it's really great having access to the beach and quickly walking around town.

We stayed in the spa room, it was clean but they only gave 2 towels, 4 towels would of been more convenient, no face washers given and no spa stuff, usually when we stay in a spa room they provide a spa product. The restaurant was A1, the food was amazing, the service was just as good. Highly recommend the steak.

Stayed in a cabin here for a night. It had 2 bedrooms so it was nice to have some space. Beach access is nice and it's a few blocks to the main street for food. The restaurant isn't open for breakfast so plan ahead. Don't let the run down looking caravans sway your decision. The cabins are nice. Full kitchen and living room with tv to relax. I would definitely stay there again.

I am extremely disappointed with the management of Kaloha Holiday Resort after our recent trip to Phillip Island.Initially, Wendy & Kim (Owners) were willing & more than happy to accommodate the parking of our race car on trailer for two nights which we appreciated immensely. However, when we advised Wendy we needed to leave by 6am to travel back 14hrs home she initially was happy to help. However, one of her female staff members (a cleaner I suspect) sitting in reception chimed in mid discussion while we were talking saying that it wasn’t “her problem” to look after us acting if she was the Owner/Manager of the motel.Strangely & without reason, Wendy changed her position from initially being very helpful to saying she had “no duty” to get up early and open their garage to let us get the race car out.In future Wendy, I suggest you as the Owner/Manager show more professionalism & courtesy to your customers in helping them, particularly when you initially agreed to but to change your decision because of something your cleaner staff member said whom has no authority over management decisions, is unprofessional & diminishes your position as Owner/Manager.Aside from the lack of professionalism of the Owners, I would also like to express my complaint about the bathroom. Upon showering the floor does not have enough fall in it for the water to escape down the drain and as a result pools all over the floor making the floor extremely slippery & dangerous. There was also no soap on arrival so had to walk back to reception and ask for soap.I would like to say that the room was clean and the beds were comfortable but would never stay there again.
