Hidden gem on Brunswick street!This bakery ticks all the boxes, but for starters, their pies are top class. We ordered the steak & red wine pie along with the chicken & white wine pie. They were both perfect - flaky with tender & flavourful meat. The accompanying sauce was a really tasty spicy chutney that really went well with it.The carrot cake was delicious especially the icing which also had a generous serving of walnuts. The ‘must order’ is the lemon tart which was out of this world and actually the reason we came here in the first place.What pleased me just as much as how delicious it all was, was the the massive portions. They did not skimp on the slices and do not charge near what other places would for the quantity & quality they offer.Amazing value & quality. I will be back here for sure!

Awful experience. On a cold day we go in with an empty takeaway coffee in hand, ordered takeaway sandwiches but then asked if we could eat them in as the place was half empty. This was accommodated after some deliberation but shortly after we heard the old lady (assumed owner) telling off her staff for allowing this saying ‘take away is take away, they take it away’. This was very off putting and made us very uncomfortable but we continued to eat. Shortly after, the old women approached our table and ridiculed us for bringing in another coffee into her establishment. She insinuated we were rude for not drinking her coffee and did not allow us to explain we were not planning on staying and the coffee was empty. A ridiculous stance considering the alternative was we don’t come in and we spend no money. We no longer felt comfortable so asked for takeaway containers which was met with rudeness and and eye roll from a grown woman. We regularly eat there and have spent ample but will not return after this lady’s treatment of us and her staff.

Delectable homemade style cakes to enjoy with a beverage.They have a breakfast and lunch menu but we were there just for cakes and a drink.Had the Vanilla Bean Baked Cheesecake and Pecan Honey Tart. The cheesecake was soft and not too dense and not overly sweet too. Just right. The Pecan Honey Tart was definitely a star though. The consistency and sweetness was just right and the crust was absolutely amazing. I’ll return just for the crust.Great spot, will most definitely return to try their other menu items like their Lemon Tart and chocolate mud cake.

The bread. The pastries. The pies. The sandwiches. THE JAM! All incredible. Hence the 5 stars. I would say though the line system is a bit hectic (especially when busy) and can leave patrons a bit unsure as to wear to stand.

Great lunch! Recommend the beans! Life changing... Definitely going back for some lemon tart!

Delightful food and great staff. The cheese sandwich is huge. The plum cake to die for! Always get some of the fruit buns and bread to take away. Sell their own branded products including jams. The doll collection is sweet too.
