We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Bistro. We were made to feel welcome from the time we walked in the front door. Lovely food and great prices. Good old fashioned country pub with friendly service and generous meals.

Nice pub with friendly staff but if you are going to the bistro I'd go somewhere else. It was a 50 minute wait for food with the restaurant not looking very busy. The steaks came out cold and the other food was ok but not that great. Staff were nice but not very attentive.

New chef started 5 weeks ago. Local Lad proudly making this an amazing place to eat. My wife could not get through her chicken schnitty. My rissoles were the full country pub meal you go back for. (The zucchini only was my choice) Forgot all those negative reviews. This Stanthorpe boy is back to make things right. Well done

There are far better places to stay overnight, but many places were fully booked when we were there. It's more for the pub goers, maybe also to have a meal there, otherwise it is one those well-maintained historic buildings in Stanthorpe but nothing special.

The food is sensational, the atmosphere is marvelous, beer is cold and undoubtedly the best pub in the Southern Downs district. The owners are typical country style publicans. The wife controls the quality of the food and Mick, he is doing fine for a bloke his age.

Waited 50 minutes for my order which they got wrong. Didn't cook the steak to how it was ordered and it was cold. If I wasn't starving I would have sent it back but I didn't want to wait another 50 minutes! The place wasn't even busy when we ordered!
